Anyone doing the Lorwyn prelease this weekend? Like I mentioned last post, I'll probably be too busy to do one this weekend. I'm interested to see how the draft environment plays out. It was strange to me that there are really only 5 main draft archetypes (while most modern full sets have one for each color pair), but I guess the original Lorwyn was like that as well. Hope you're having a good weekend!

Lorwyn had 5 two colour options, but then the classes and treefolk also were supported, so there was plenty of options beyond the primary races.

I actually finished 1st out of a full-house of 28 at our LGS - with a real nice Elf deck! (pulled four rare elves, which was very solid) Honestly the environment seems fun, I saw players using different color combinations besides the 5 main ones, and some decks can do 3 colors more comfortably with the fixing options. (5 color elemental vivid also seems doable in draft, not so much in sealed.)

I also did just get your wonderful elf tokens and brought 'em to the prerelease - players found them super cool! I'll be looking forward to lending them out during commander games when someone plays an elf deck, haha.
