To be honest, the liquidity of Magic cards has saved my butt a few times over the years. When I first had kids, I was in quite a bit of money trouble. (Kids are expensive!) So I sold off my Power 9, which kept us afloat until things got better. About 8 years ago, I had another issue where a bunch of bills and an untimely car failure all happened at the same time. Again Magic came to save the day!

The Liquidity of magic is great, it's saved me a lot of times too. As a side note, over the course of a lifetime, it's reckoned that a kid costs about One Million Dollars.

Turns out that's $1M NZD, so closer to 600,000

If you don't want to sort and price your cards, then you can always sell them as bulk. 🤪

Not selling my cards. They are mine, all mine, my precious.......

I recently sold the majority of my Pokemon TCG collection, and it sure helps! (I can also commission artists for MTG alters without any guilt now, lol)

Interesting fact. I have two kids, and after seeing your comment, for a moment I thought about actually estimating this. I quickly realized I better not, lol!

Exactly. Funny enough, I don't know if I've ever regretted buying a card, but I've definitely regretted selling some cards, lol

Ooh, that sounds like fun. Would love to see some of these commissions some time.
