For the Secrets of Strixhaven prerelease today, I chose Prismari for my school. If you know anything about the way I play, blue/red is typically my favorite combination in any format, whether it be Delver decks, Storms decks, Prowess, or whatever. My deck didn't disappoint. Here was my list:

The deck was super powerful. I had multiple games where I dealt like 15 damage in one turn. Colorstorm Stallion is particularly insane. One game when I had it out, I cast Rapturous Moment into Traumatic Critique, which gave me a 5/5, 4/4, and two 3/3 Stallions with haste. Another game I had a Spectacular Skywhale in play and started chaining spells with my Goblin Glasswright and Muse Seeker until my opponent was dead (by the way, I think the Goblin is amazing, perhaps one of the top red commons). I'm a little worried that Prismari is too strong, because all the top players at our tournament were Prismari. Hopefully the draft format will be better since draft tends to be more self correcting than sealed.

In the end, I missed going undefeated by one game. I was at 4 life, but I had my opponent dead on board next turn to a bunch of flyers. My opponent said "the only way I can win is if I topdeck Traumatic Critique" (because of course he was playing Prismari as well). He turned over the top card of his deck--Traumatic Critique! Oh well, I still had a lot of fun, and I hope you have a good time at your prerelease as well!

Has to work this weekend. Wish I could've played.

Oh no, sorry to hear that. Hopefully you get a chance to play this set in the near future!

I had a great time with my Quandrix kit, splashing black - I opened both Quandrix and Witherbloom as my bomb mythics, so I had a pretty good late-game setup! Went 3-0 and finished 3rd overall, had some very fun games. (My last round opponent had a Berta making 5/5 fractals every turn and resolved Germination Practicum, meaning he was giving +2/+2 to his board repeatedly, and I somehow survived long enough to find my dragons and swing it around. This format has some wild things!)

Yeah, this might just be a really powerful draft format!
