It's funny when I look back at old Magic cards, and how many of them basically say, you can't play the game. What's even funnier is how many modern cards are just crazy mana plus draw engines, and many people just take them for granted. It will be interesting to see where Magic design goes next in the future!

It's a real testament to just how fun the game is that people were excited about putting hours and hours into things like stasis mirrors and other "you can't play the game decks" and that magic has gone as far as it has as a result.

That's sort of the point I'm trying to make. It was fun, when perhaps in hindsight it shouldn't have been, and because it was fun we still have magic today :)
