Silly Deck Themes (Patreon)

Saturday night I played in a Premodern tournament, and actually went 4-0, winning the whole thing! The funny part was that I was very close to changing my deck at the last minute, so I'm glad I didn't. Here was my deck list:
A quick summary of my matches was:
G/W Enchantress, won 2-0
Fluctuator, won 2-0
G/R/B Survival Welder, won 2-0
GR Terravore Oath, won 2-1
Probably my silliest moment was my first game against the Fluctuator deck. If you don't know, that deck plays almost all spells with Cycling 2. When you cast Fluctuator, you can cycle for free, dumping your entire hand into your graveyard. You then cast Songs of the Damned to make a bunch of black mana and win with Drain Life. So my opponent plays cycling lands the first two turns. I'm sitting there with a Meddling Mage in my hand. I've never played against this deck before, but I'm pretty sure he has a Fluctuator. The problem is that I cannot remember that card's name for the life of me! And since it's super casual, I don't want to be lame and ask "what's the name of the card your whole deck relies on." So after debating out loud the name of the card I can't remember "is it Energizer? Cyclonator?" I don't cast Meddling Mage. Of course, on my opponent's next turn he casts Fluctuator. Fortunately, I have a Daze to counter it, and my next turn I finally drop the Meddling Mage naming Fluctuator. Funny enough, my opponent later revealed he had a second Fluctuator in his hand!
Anyway, I was super happy with this deck. I had previously been playing more Mox Diamond, Gush, and Accumulated Knowledge, as well as sometimes foregoing Meddling Mage for 2 more Psychatog. This build is more tempo oriented rather than value focused. Overall, it just feels good when you have a deck you really enjoy playing and it actually performs well too!
