Do you ever buy people Magic-related gifts? Everyone who knows me knows I love Magic, but I almost never get Magic-related gifts. They could give me a gift card, one of those cool art books, or something to help me organize my cards better. But they never do. Maybe they assume I’d be too particular about what I wanted (they’re probably right). The one Magic present I can remember getting was from my son, who gave me a pack of Core Set 2021 for my birthday. And I opened a Teferi, Master of Time, borderless and foil! The only problem is that now I’d feel terrible ever trading it because I have to keep it for the memories.

I got "Magic the Gathering: Duels of the Planeswalkers" the board game one year and have refused to sell it off.

Our cards are memories. You said so yourself in one of your comics.

😂😂😂 For people who refuse to give gift cards, there's an additional obstacle: how do you make sure you don't give them anything they already have...or indeed worse, something they would trade if it wasn't a gift 🫣

Exactly this, getting singles as gifts is super hard. If you are a non-magic player trying to get a magic player a gift it's next to impossible. Buying singles usually works best if it's a bunch of you getting together to buy something higher end you know they have been looking for but can't afford. Otherwise, sealed product is the better way to go.

Do you play it often. It's too bad there aren't more products like this.

Um only played it twice so far. Hard to play since where I have played it, players have cats and dogs who love chasing the figurines. XD
