I apologize if I’ve already shared this story, but something similar to this comic happened to me a few months ago. We were shuffling between games, and it was clear that my opponent was mana weaving. I mentioned it to him, and he said he was just getting rid of the land clumps. It was especially annoying because it was a super casual event.

Anyway, when he presented his deck, I gave it a pretty thorough shuffle. And guess what happened next... He got super mana screwed, and I beat him easily, lol. I guess he should have shuffled his deck himself!

Mana screw and mana floods are the worst. It's like feast and famine.

I have had this discussion so many times. Mana weavjng followed by a few over hand shuffles is not randomizing your deck. Now if I see my opponent mana weave I pile shuffle their deck into three piles. 9 out of 10 they need a mulligan…

Yeah, I get this too. You try to explain it to someone; if the shuffling doesn't invalidate your mana weaving, then you are still cheating, but it's always an awkward conversation.

Sword of mana screw. You can't play lands. Sword of mana flood. Search your library for five land cards and put them in your hand
