I like playing Commander with complete strangers from time to time, whether at a MagicCon or in Cambridge, MA, like I did a couple of weeks ago. I find it fun to meet new people, but it's also good research for me to see how other playgroups interact. One of the funniest things is when two or three of the other players know each other. Almost inevitably, they start targeting each other. I think it's because they're familiar with each other's decks, so they know how dangerous they can be. It works out for me though because I can often slip under their radar!

I think it's also sometimes that they feel more comfortable hitting people they know before those they don't.

On a Transformers update, I've slowed down a lot. I think that post-movie the individual stories are better written and put together, but I just care less for the characters, and every other character speaking in some super weird way is getting to me. I've only got 11 episodes to go, so maybe I'll find an evening to just push through :)

Grimlock best Autobot. He exists in all seasons (can't speak for season 4 yet), and it's incredible just how often he's integral in saving the day. From the 'plot' episodes I've been watching, he saves the day way more than any other character.

On the other side, I am continually impressed by Galvatron. He has some serious anger management issues but also somehow manages to be incredibly competent and one of the best characters when it comes to being able to get things done.

This comic is very much me on the computer.

This is an interesting take. I haven't watched season 3 in a while, but I remember being disappointed that the epic battle between good and evil was now replaced by sci-fi stories. I should rewatch it because maybe I'd appreciate it more now.

Haha, that's awesome. This is probably why Grimlock is so beloved. If you ever reach the original comic series, Grimlock plays a big role there too.

Again, I think I need to rewatch season 3. Last time I watched, I remember being disappointed that Galvatron is such an erratic character while Megatron is more calculating and focused. It's fun hearing your takes because it makes me rethink how I remember this.
