I have a question that maybe you can help me out with.

If you were reincarnated as a Magic card, what would be a worst-case scenario for you?

Comments

Michael McCormick

A really big and overcosted creature that never saw play.

That I wouldn't be a foil sultai commander. If I was anything besides that I couldn't be happy knowing my wasted potential 😭

Robert Spremulli

That I would be unplayable draft chaff. The type of card that always wheels, is left on the table to be discarded at the end of the night, unwanted. My name and face would be unmemorable; I wouldn't even suck enough to be a meme.

Cardboard Crack

Ha, yeah, the lack of meme potential especially hurts, lol.

Cardboard Crack

Who is your sultai commander of choice? I was recently thinking of building a Tasigur deck (I know, so original).

Cardboard Crack

Well, at least it feels like every big creature is at least costed to play in limited. They don't print Karplusan Giants anymore!

Fast Cars Old And New

Viscera Seer. I'm a vanilla 1/1 right now, so any stats buff or activated ability would be an upgrade, but being resigned to sifting through guts to tell someone the future, and finally sifting through my own, would be appalling.

CHT Tseng

The bear that got punched in the face in Savage Punch... wait, is it again Grizzly Bear? Poor bastard...

That I would be reincarnated as a Scarwood Goblins and opened by someone who doesn't believe in sleeves and shuffles by jamming cards together. The only thing I'd have to look forward to is being mislabeled as "a slightly played Vintage card" on eBay 25 years later.

Cardboard Crack

I hope you realize Scarwood Goblins counts as both a green card and a red card.

J Lewis

I mean, it's helpful to have that spelled out. At least I'd feel like I counted for *something*. Two things, really.

Manuel Hoffmann

Garruk, the Veil-Cursed. I mean, this guy had it pretty shit for most of the time.

Stephen Hines

Null Rod - Gerrard: “But it doesn’t do anything!” Hanna: “No—it does nothing.” Oh wait, maybe I like the idea of being reincarnated as Null Rod. I was originally thinking "One with Nothing" because it sounds bad, but is also a hilariously bad card. That made me think of Null Rod though, which is entertaining in other ways.

Cardboard Crack

Wow, Wood Elemental really shot up in price about 2 years ago. MtG finance is weird.

Tasigur is fun but I feel like you get stuck in a box since it's kind of a fleshed out archetype. Damia let's you play a good stuff deck that won't trap you into a particular build. I made a Damia deck that included all the sultai legendaries. it was a blast 😁👍

Rocket

Anything with the creature type coward

Atipong Pathanasethpong

Mint Alpha Black Lotus? I'm destined to live in a case forever, never seeing the light of day.

Fast Cars Old And New

Now I've seen the cartoon, I realise how useless this answer was. My apologies.

Cardboard Crack

Ha, it's all good. There were a lot of directions you could take it and there wasn't a right one.

Gray Ogre: A card so bad that in draft reviews, you are used to illustrate how bad another card is.

Cardboard Crack

Hey, Gray Ogre set the standard for morph creatures. That's not nothing!

David Buchmann

Well, now, being reincarnated as a morph creature would be interesting. Nobody knows what I am and there might be some big surprise coming when i reveal my identity.
