It features the first of the 4 winners from the last character poll: the Kobold Queen! This one ended up having a host of different themes, including some niche ones like transformation, lactation, pregnancy and birthing. Based on reactions from some beta testing, this one might become a fan favorite! (if the tags appeal to your preferences of course hehehe)The other feature of this small update is that the game now properly supports gamepads. In the input configuration options players can switch between the available input modes, and now the game reads inputs from 2 types of controllers for all actions in the game, including UI navigation. With that said, honestly it is quite a basic implementation, because long story short, the current version of Unity that I'm using is quite finicky when it comes to decent gamepad support. So I'd really appreciate if those who prefer to play games with a controller could test out these controls and give me some feedback on the overall experience, and areas where it could be improved etc.Alright, now back into the grind I go. Truth is that I tried to sneak in a new bad end in this update (a different one from the 4 winners) but like I mentioned, things got too busy, and implementing the gamepad support (which I was going to leave for much later in development) took essentially half of the month, so there was not enough time left to meet my current goal of 1 release per month. But now it's a fresh start to another dev cycle and there are more good and fun things to do, which I hope to tease in upcoming dev logs! See you soon!Best Regards,Mega

Testing out the gamepad support and have a bug. On gamepad type2, when try to rebind buttons, it appears to be getting an input from the RT button, even though I'm not pressing it. I.e anything I try to rebind ends up set to RT. What I was trying to do was unbind the buttons for the debug actions as I was accidentally hitting them during game play. A workaround would be to add an option to disable debug actions entirely if the player doesn't want them. Will keep testing and let you know if I run into anything else. Edit: The "Press Y to restart" doesn't reflect the gamepad button graphics, so I thought it was referring to the keyboard key. Same with the tutorial text, so I'm assuming you haven't had a chance to make a pass over that stuff in this release.

Awesome! A new update for MKM is just what this night needs to close out for me. I'm glad this bad end was chosen to be first. I was actually looking forward to this one the most. Wasn't expecting it to have quite a few things in for it, but I'm not gonna complain about it. Nice work on the scene, and I'm curious as to what that other bad end you wanted to put in was. I also really liked the little animations you gave Maya for throwing items and the crimson rod. Little things like that makes the game much more memorable. Eager to see what you got in store for the next update.

Thanks for the feedback! Regarding the text prompts, yeah those are still to be implemented, as they require a rework to support the new button icons, but yeah I'll get to them eventually. Regarding the RT, I might have made it too sensitive. Can you confirm if you have any other controllers connected at the same time? Could also be that it is reading input from other gamepads.

Mega Blue Ball

Thanks Vik! More "flavor" animation will be coming. I want to add some idle animations for Maya, when players use the camera to look up/down, more animation for dialogue etc

Yup, looks like that was the issue. It's picking up inputs from all attached "game controllers" In this case it was picking up on my joysticks that I use for flight sims. Disconnecting them took care of the issue, so seems like the game is accepting everything from xinput / direct input, rather than selecting for a particular device. Otherwise, haven't had any issues. Movement has been perfect and feels natural with the gamepad.

I haven't played around with the bindings on the controller, but I have found a bug with the new bad end. While it's awesome that the Queen can keep laying multiple eggs, because they never hatch they keep piling up. At a certain point, one became glitchy upon reaching the queen and kept floating up and down. Also, once enough piled up, they actually started to slowly push the Queen and Kobold while they're having sex. It only really becomes an issue if you let the animation play over and over again multiple times, which is something I liked to do with the dogs, but I thought I'd say something nevertheless.

Also, I did want to say though that in general I love what you've done with the updates so far, and I adore the new bad end. It has several different aspects and things going on, and Maya's Queen form is absolutely stunning!

Zawsx

this might be a stupid question, but where exactly is the queen located? I've played through and wasn't able to find her

Go to Abandoned Mine Teleport, go past Mashroom Futa Girls you'll find Kobolds, lose all Health to them (or hit F12) and bad ending plays. Word of advice, use X not Z when reading cutscene, Z causes it to skip forward. Next advice, once the text vanishes the Animation will play out and fade to black to next text scene... Kobold Queen Ending... Chef's Kiss, Veddy Nice

no more stat power-up hide in the map anymore? just use f7 to start power-up?

Zawsx

Oh ok. Thank you for the help

Mega Blue Ball

Ah I figured some bug like that could happen heh OK I have some ideas that could work to fix that issue. Thanks for the feedback!

Mega Blue Ball

The queen is actualy Maya after she transforms, so it is not a new enemy. It is a new bad end scenario attached to the Kobolds in the caves, so to see the new scene, you have to be defeated and captured by the kobolds, then trigger the bad end scene and then you'll see the queen.

Mega Blue Ball

The F7 key is only for debugging purposes. When the game is completed I will remove those keys from the game, because the normal way of improving stats will be via searching for them hidden in the game.

Chibi Sifyro Chan

stat power-up hidden in the game is gone for now just in version 0.6.2 i tried looking everywhere I remembered but it wasn't there. (anyway I use F7 for now)

Mega Blue Ball

I just checked some of the power-up locations and they are still there. Maybe you are using a save file where you already collected all of them?

Mega Blue Ball

You can teleport to the red rook save point in the mines, and a Kobold can be found going up the ladder and then into the small tunnel to the left.

Chibi Sifyro Chan

I'm not sure. I'm not using a save file of old i delete the whole file of version 0.6.1 and download new version 0.6.2 the game start over but power-up not spawn on locations and. yee i already collected all of power-up on version 0.6.1

Chibi Sifyro Chan

At the beginning of the game on the beach there are 3 Power Ups: Health up, Damage up and Defense up. but now all gone

Irkenfenrir

Yeah, I am not finding any of the power-ups either.

Mega Blue Ball

Ah I see it now, I tried a fresh file and indeed the power-ups are bugged. They appear to me in the dev editor, but not when I do a fresh run on the game's compiled executable. Thank you very much for the report, I'll find this bug and fix it for the next version!

Mega Blue Ball

Indeed, it's a nasty bug that got past my testing. It will be fixed in the next version!

Dirk Dagger

Best dev! Sorry I've not been around more, been very busy, but you seem to be doing very well by yourself!

Shalax

Maybe just have a kobold come and scoot them away after a while, lol
