I’m gonna change my Xmas wish from the last one. I made a character in middle school called “Bananaman” classic superhero + sidekick kinda thing and my dad absolutely fell in love with it. 2 years ago I hand drew a hard cover Bananaman book for him, new story but same art style, and he’s got it set up in a display on his dresser in his room. I’ve recently been delving into digital art with just a little shitty tablet + using krita. I’ve been writing a script for another Bananaman book but wanted to do it all digitally and make it into an actual official looking comic book. The script is pretty much done, I’ve got the scenes planned out on paper and I know what they’re supposed to look like in my head, but I haven’t been able to make it through the cover. All I’ve ever wanted for Christmas for nearly my entire life is a 2004 Doctor Octopus 12” Action Figure from the hit film Spider-Man 2. I had the Spider-Man action figure from the movie as a kid and loved that thing with every fiber of my being. It’s to this day one of the only things I’ve never been able to part with from my childhood. But when I saw the TV commercial for the first time for that action figure, it had Doc Ock in the commercial too. I wanted both so badly so I could recreate the train scene from the movie. I asked for both for my birthday and got the Spider-Man, which is still a core memory to me. I hoped that I would get the Doc Ock for Christmas, but my family didn’t have a lot of money growing up, and they all sold out at the toys-r-us in town pretty quickly. It’s kinda dumb now, I don’t need it, nor do I probably deserve it, but damn I wish I had that thing.

The reason I think I’d deserve it, is because when my brother Tim and his first real girlfriend Kayla moved in together at an apt, I was still a young teen, maybe 16, and let him borrow my entire N64 collection from my childhood (90’s and into the early 2000’s) & two controllers so they could bond and play some classics together. I didn’t have money for a house warming gift so it’s the best I could do. Well, fast forward & a while later they had a nasty break up (she refused to get a job, not even clean or cook while he was working as a full time mechanic and a part time community college student, he couldn’t stand her anymore) anyway she either took the collection with her to spite him or threw it all out when they split. Either way, it’s been many years, I’m 28 now with a wife and two daughters so I’d love to also give them a N64 we could all experience playing together. The end. Thanks for reading

Or Colorado, my friends and I had a whole road trip planned before COVID to visit some different stuff & camp. Something like that!

When I was 5/6 I was bit pretty hard with the Yu-Gi-Oh bug.. as I imagine most great men where at the time. Obviously my taste from such a young age was immediately top shelf.. ya boy wanted Exodia, and ya boy wanted him bad. Anyways, I had hoped and prayed for months and after cashing in my birthday wish AND a successful wish bone tug of war, I was feeling pretty confident about Xmas day. The morning arrives and I’m a fucking navy seal on a mission.. I’mma hunting, imma digging.. eventually I get to a box that I could tell my parents were sort of guarding. I ran a quick visual assessment and thought ‘hmm that’s a pretty beefy box for what I hope to be Yu-gi-oh cards’ but my hands were quicker than my doubtful mind and before I knew it I was half way through opening it. Then came the first wave of sobering reality my young self had ever experienced up to that point. Shit had been pretty much rainbows and butterflies up til now. I looked down and in my hands WAS Exodia.. only it was the action figure and not the card version. I of course exploded into excitement and thanked my parents for getting me what I wanted. They both looked so tired in that living room and yet was more concerned for how I reacted to my gifts. I never did tell them any of this. I only bring this all up as I had seen 1 of the 5 pieces of Exodia being sold on Depop for £6 recently and it made me chuckle and think of all that. If you’ve made it to the end of al this, I do apologise for the girth of this entry.. and thank you for sticking it out :)

I had one, but it was stolen when some cracktilians outnumbered me on the bus. They're "only" $79.99, but it's a great tool for recording music. It wayside works as an effects pedal when hooked up to my old ass Ipad mini. I think I deserve it, because it was stolen from me, and I got my nose broken trying to keep it out of the cracktilian's clutches. Two black eyes. I can't record music now and music is my life. I worked hard to get my few possessions and I'm pissed that they took it along with my gig bag. My second choice would be a tire thumper from Amazon. I ride Cap Metro every day and at least 3 times a week some crackmonster Fentanyl Paul looking motherfuckers try to intimidate the kids, women, and the elderly. It just happened today.
