Welcome you patrons who went back all the way to the beginning of our timeline!

I (Seb) am here to talk a bit about the evolution of our logo.

It was clear pretty much from the start that we wanted a cat's face, and once I found this first picture, I knew we had a winner. But it had to go through some changes. (it was already mirrored left to right, and I can't for the life of me find the original picture sadly).

It's a picture of my roommate's cat (Perfect) Blue. He's about 7 years old at the time of writing this. He's deaf and meows extremely loudly. (his meow is also the sound of the logo)

I tried vectorising it but didn't really like the format. it felt too clean.

Then a friend tried a drawing, which I quite liked but didn't fit the vibe we were going for.

(I had a go as well, but I'm a terrible with a pen)

and then Myu made a pixel version of Blue which was just perfect. From then on it was a mission to find the font to use. We found a couple good suggestions that ended up being not open source/free for commercial use, so we had to switch late into the selection process. And the final design is now on all our stuff. I really like it. I can hear the meow even in my sleep (but then again it might just be Blue screaming at the moon)
