Oh, Steven - on a side note, Dexter saved Chief Angela Bishops daughter at the end of “New Blood”. That’s why the back of the picture of her & her daughter said “we’re even. Now get out of Iron Lake”.

You should definitely check out Original Sin, even if you can’t react to it on the channel. You could just watch it on your own whenever you have time. It’s really good and adds a lot of context to stuff from the original and even answers some things we didn’t know about.

To answer your question on why to leave one kid and take the other. They did try and take Brian too, but he was too far gone, so they put him back in foster. I believe wasnt paying to much attention at the show for all the same reasons as you

Seeing as you said you watched the first 2 episodes of Original Sin i figured you would have known about how Dexter ended up in the hospital. Cause in Original Sin they show it, in episode 1 it picks up where New Blood ended, not long after he's shot police show up and find Dexter in the snow and rush him to the hospital, and when he's being worked on they get his heartbeat going and it goes into Original Sin, i guess like he's having a life flashing before his eyes kinda thing and thats how they time jump back to his younger years in his early 20's in Original Sin, the whole series is him kinda reliving his life through those early memories while he's in a coma in the hospital.

Question for anyone who’s seen the original Dexter…. I haven’t seen a single episode. Would I be able to jump into Dexter Resurrection, or would I need to be at least somewhat familiar with the original Dexter, watched a few eps, etc… or would I really need to watch the full run of the first Dexter? All I know about Dexter is that he is a serial killer who kills criminals. From what I’ve heard, if that’s even correct. Never seen a single episode. And also let me know if just answering my Q is spoilery, I’ll go to reddit or something to find out, but I figured I’d find the best and most knowledgeable fans here. Thanks in advance for any replies.

Yes you need to watch at least Dexter and Dexter New Blood first. You can decide after that whether or not to watch Original Sin, its optional.

I love pretty much the same shows as you guy. Saw Dexter a few years ago and LOVED it. Just finished this season and no spoiler of course but soooo goooood :)
