I have a feeling that Carol will end up choosing to be part of the hive

Debbie

Very manipulative on the Hive's part to essentially leave Carol alone to suffer knowing it would make her break down and "need" them again. It's a sweet touching ending but don't forget that the person she's hugging is also looking for a way to get her to join them (even if there's a way to trick her into doing it against her wishes) while still giving her agency. I feel like this whole experience is going to make it harder for Carol to fight them from this point forward and Manusos will eventually need to rescue her or at least try to. Manusos will eventually get to Carol and she will tell him she doesn't need saving and she's fine, and I think that's basically how this season will end.

This was my favorite episode so far. I enjoyed episode 6 but I kind of expected some of it. This was an interesting twist with Carol giving in. I am not sure how much they will try to convince her that she needs to join them, but then they mentioned they haven't found a way to change the ones who didn't succumb to the virus. They will eventually come up with something possibly. I think Carol broke for sure and that is why she asked Zosia to come back. Manousos seems to be more stubborn than Carol. The hive seemed to know about the trees with the spikes and that it does have dangerous bacteria. I am sure they have been studied before. The jungles of Ecuador are grueling. There are also indigenous tribes who live there who will kill strangers in a heartbeat. It would be interesting to know what happened to them. There are basically some tribes throughout the world who haven't had contact with modern civilization. It would be strange if they contracted the virus to have the collective knowledge of the world they didn't even know. Speaking of being alone, I spent almost 3 years bedridden during the pandemic and right after. I had a chronic illness that almost took me out and it started a few months before the pandemic. I pretty much spent almost 3 years alone. I could talk on the phone or text people and do some Zoom calls, but some days I was too sick even to do that. I had to hold on to things to make it to the kitchen and bathroom for just a few minutes at a time. Was i lonely, somewhat. Did I have God and people praying for me, yes. While we do need human contact, I told myself it was only temporary even though I didn't know if I would ever get better. I am about 70% of what I was before I got sick which is a miracle. I did survive,, but I had podcasts to listen to, friends to talk to even though they were distant. I had to move before I got sick. I am about 300 miles from my old house. My mother is now 550 miles from me because she moved too. So God willing I will be seeing her in a month. I am getting my license back. I lost that because I couldn't renew during illness.

Great episode! Mostly visual instead of dialogue and they pulled it off brilliantly!! Also have you noticed Zosia’s stomach? Is she pregnant?

Yeah, you can't drive continuously from Paraguay to Albuquerque because of the Darién Gap, a massive, roadless jungle between Colombia and Panama that's impassable for vehicles, forcing any overland trip to involve significant detours, sea travel, or flying part of the way.

some thoughts. did you guys see the angel wings in the clouds behind Carol after she relented and painted the sign? google "ace baby genetics" The painting she took was Belladonna. Which is Nightshade. Beautiful and deadly. also love the song choices. I think there are clues in them especially the last one that played over the credits. The Age Of Aquarius . When the moon is in the Seventh House And Jupiter aligns with Mars Then peace will guide the planets And love will steer the stars This is the dawning of the Age of Aquarius Age of Aquarius Aquarius Aquarius Harmony and understanding Sympathy and trust abounding No more falsehoods or derisions Golden living dreams of visions Mystic crystal revelation And the mind's true liberation, Aquarius Aquarius
