Fortnite’s new Simpsons update reimagines the entire experience through the decades-old cartoon. You can select from Homer, Lisa, Flanders, Moe, and other playable characters, then skydive into a faithful recreation of Springfield. The detail is absurd, down to the operable trap door button in Mr. Burns’ office. It feels like the culmination of Epic Games’ efforts to be the black hole that pulls in every corner of mainstream pop culture. Fortnite has become so big and so appealing that it raises the uncomfortable question floating around the rise of similar Forever Games: are most people motivated to play anything else?

As a long time PSO fan, I’m so jealous. I desperately want to play again and I feel like handheld is the way I’d play consistently. Is it worth getting the AYN Thor for games like this vs the Steam Deck at this point? Or is Steam Deck overkill?

Sounds like I'll be "finishing" Hades II at just about the same time as Russ, as I'm fairly certain I have one more run in either direction in order to get the true ending. Still debating whether I'll take a break from the game after that like I did the first, or if I'll jump right into higher difficulty runs. (I've gotten the first statue already.) That all said, man, what an incredible experience it's been.
