Oh No! I've just seen the notification pop up on my phone and it's 2:23 AM here!! As tempted as I am to watch this straight away, I'll be sensible and wait until tomorrow. I will look forward to it with so much excitement though.

Reel Reaction

Hahaha watch it well rested!! Have a good night

Who the woman is has always been ambiguous however in the stage directions it was written to be the Doctor's mother. I once met RTD and he told me his approach as a writer was that it was his mother but he left it mainly ambiguous on screen. He said to me "Who would you like to best guide you at the end of your life?" It's an absolute killer emotionally that the kindest soul (in Wilfred) is the unwitting one who deals the final blow. Goodbye to My Doctor & DT who put everything into the role. 10 was a very human Doctor but so much greatness is still to come ahead. The final 10 mins is a sign-off to everything and everyone from this era. Brand new Doctor Who is coming your way Pamela, don't be sad, be very excited for the journey to come

Even years later I am torn into pieces when I watch this incredible episode. Feeling your joy and sorrow. ❤️

Verity's name isn't familiar cause she is the granddaughter of the lady he was in love when he was human for a while with Martha (Verity Newman is actually a combination of the names of 2 creators of the show in 63 your reaction to Martha and Mickey was priceless, I felt represented 10th is very dramatic and human, very selfish and flawed, I like that, but everything related to romance in his era was the worst part of all of who for me

DSJ.

'I wonder what I'd be, without you', says the Doctor to the Master ;(

DSJ.

I am the Doctor, now how do I say goodbye to Captain Jack? Set him up and get him laid with Alonso Frame, of course.

DSJ.

Verity was Nurse Redfern from Human Nature/Family of Blood - a really nice touch to bring that story and actress back.

DSJ.

MATT! Him and Tennant were nigh-unknown actors until they were in Doctor Who. And now they're HUGE. Especially Matt - he was, like, nobody at this time. Not quite his first acting role, but yeah, basically an unknown at this time.

SO.....I hope you are ready for "Doctor Who" to *start!!!!* The first four seasons are just the pre-opening sequence tease!!! (Notice how the Season Four finale fake-out prepped you for this!) If you put any 10 NuWhovians in a room, five will fight to defend their position that, as of right now, you haven't seen the best episodes yet or the best seasons! SO....EVERYTHING will change while NOTHING will change and you and SesskaSays can form a "Doctor Eleven Matt Smith is My Husband" club!!!! HAHAHAHAHA!!!! Three words: Steven Moffat, Showrunner! Get ready to exhaust yourself from all the months of laughing and crying and screaming that is to come...As Rose said when she was hopping universes, it's all just beginning!!! I'll share my thoughts on Tennant-to-Smith in your next NuWho post!

Todd Burroughs

"10th is very dramatic and human, very selfish and flawed..." Yeah, I love Ten but you are completely right. Now, regarding your last comment, I really look forward to your take on the future...

Todd Burroughs

P.S. By the way, now that you got to this point, you can do the following as a spoiler-free Patreon exclusive: go on YouTube and find the Doctor Who "The Weakest Link" special!!! Is Ten a match for Ann Robinson? ;) UgoWatch loved it!

Todd Burroughs

P.P.S. Don't forget that you still have not publicly reviewed Fifteen's first outing, "The Church at Ruby Road!!!" Gee, what a great XMas gift that would be, just sayin'. ;)

Todd Burroughs

P.P.P.S. Looking forward to your Land/Sea take!!!!

Lucky Lavender

To your point at the end about actors being made for certain roles, In my opinion, every single actor cast as the Doctor in New Who was absolutely the perfect person to play the part at that point in time. I'm so excited to watch you consume all of Doctor Who! It's so exciting.

monulito

lmao I'm up to date since 2013! my opinion stands hehe

stcyl

As a Whovian, I know how hard it is to say goodbye, but I'm so excited to watch you discover the brilliance of Matt Smith's Doctor!

Todd Burroughs

She's going to take lots of naps from the joy overload!!! LOLOLOL

Two thoughts as I'm watching: The time lords send the message "through time" so it's probably not happening in real time. Also, there are cut scenes of series 4 (from the dvd) on YouTube. There is one with the actor who played Donna's dad during runaway bride who unfortunately was too sick to return for the series and there's a comment by rtd saying he wanted to add a Cyberman at the end of Journey's end as a teaser for the next special. I'm glad he didn't

si

About Gallifrey, there are audios specifically called Gallifrey and there are episodes in Clasic Who yes. However, doctor who likes to play fast and loose with canon. So not everything you see in this episode match perfectly either of those sources.

Some people don’t enjoy what they call the “farewell tour” but I’ve always liked it. Matt Smith is my Doctor but it was a tough transition regardless. We had awhile to get used to the idea. I think it’s harder to have them back to back. Now the trek through the snow was just a little cringe and I didn’t care for “I don’t want to go line” (another source of endless controversy lol) Usually a Doctor doesn’t have to film his first scene with a lot of people around, but the place was packed for the final scene. David and Matt did not film them together, so he was on his own. So young. He was only 26. Matt is totally a different Doctor than David which I think is a good thing. Both terrific actors and wonderful Doctors. Not from England, I didn’t know any of these actors. A lot of my British friends had never heard of Matt. He did do some acting before that, though I can’t think of them at the moment. And after, his most famous role was in the first two years of “The Crown”. They actually found Matt through the audition process. One of the beloved original writers on Classic Who, Terrance Dicks, gave his stamp of approval. Lol, Jessica aka Sesskasays, calls Matt honey. Great reaction, a lot of fun!!

Reel Reaction

I am very sad but very excited to see Matt's Doctor and how his personality will be different. I'm sad we aren't going to see the old characters, I was hoping for some of them to still pop up in the future. This was a perfect send off for Tennant 💜

Reel Reaction

I wish David still had more time but I am extremely excited for Matt 😄

Reel Reaction

Aaah that's who she is thank you!!! And yeah I agree, the romance part was not my favorite part either. Another reason why Donna is my favorite haha

Reel Reaction

Oh so which one is your favorite Doctor??? And SesskaSays and I can definitely start a club...I bet a lot of people will join. 😅😅 i can't wait for thr next adventures 💙💙

Reel Reaction

Oh wait...thr actually game!? Oh I am definitely watching!!!

Reel Reaction

I might have to loop back around to that one and watch it when I'm caught up

Reel Reaction

I cant wait!!! Im so sad David is gone but im sure Matt will be extraordinary

Reel Reaction

I cant wait. He's the only one i knew who was in the show and I was hoping he was after Tennant! 😊😊

Reel Reaction

Yeah I realised later they were in the past still and traveled to our time through thr machine. It was so much fun to see them, the most Time Lords in 1 room in a long time.

Todd Burroughs

Classic: Three and Jo Grant all day long, and Four with anybody ;) ; NuWho: Ten and Eleven (more on that when you post "The Eleventh Hour"). I love all the Doctors but no one comes close to my, well, Fantastic Who Four ;)

Todd Burroughs

SESSKASAYS WHENEVER MATT SHOWS UP ON SCREEN, TO THIS DAY: "Hi, Honey!" ;)

Todd Burroughs

BUT keep in mind....I didn't say Ten and Eleven have *all* the *best* stories.... :)

Max Packer

Caught up now! Wow - with seeing the companions, Wilf's tears and then the Ood singing you just can't help but shed a tear. This is just my experience but I wanted to share: David was always my doctor and I dug my heals in and hated Matt to start with. However, he grew on me very quickly and even though he's not my personal favourite I do think his time as the doctor is amazing and I'm so excited for some of the upcoming episodes. You're in for a treat!! X

Vanessa J McNamara

I remember once, no names or spoilers, she got so excited to see him she screamed. The funny part was she told people who complain how dramatic she is to leave their comments below, she was having a moment or something. I about fell off my chair with laughter.

Dingus Ex Machina

I still don't understand anyone who dislikes the victory lap that RTD took here because it was so well earned.

Dingus Ex Machina

Goodbye David. Goodbye RTD. Hello Moffat. Hello Matt Smith. ^_^

Reel Reaction

That was such a good video!!!! Im not used to hearing his real accent

Todd Burroughs

There is another Norton compilation I will show you one day but it's not yet time ;)

Pumpkin Diallo
