Molly slapping the shit out of Sherlock is my favorite scene in the whole series (as in American usage, meaning the whole show!) Now, some people here might say you don't *need* to watch "The Abominable Bride" (3x4 to some, 4x0 to others) the Special that follows this. But since it's my favorite "Sherlock" episode/movie, I recommend it 1000 percent!!!!

P.S. And you know what is coming now: MARY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hanging with Natasha and Yelena :) And I read so many people online who diss Seasons 3 and 4! THIS was the episode that SHERLOCKED me for real!!!!

Yes you are correct. The actress played Dr Adelaide Brook, in "The Waters of Mars" (Doctor Who). It's the episode where David Tennant joins the mission on Mars and knows that they all should die on that base and on that day. However, he decides to change it and saves the life of three scientists, including Adelaide. Adelaide realised what he did was wrong and so takes her own life back on earth! Season four not long before Tennant regenerates.

Magnuson (spelling?) is one hateable villain. Licking Lady Smallwood's face, peeing in the fireplace etc. Gross! Never has a shot to the head been so satisfying and warranted. So much happened in this episode but I'm glad you didn't hate Mary by the end - she is a fantastic character and, like you noted in the last episode, really knows the two boys and how to play them (for want of a better phrase). Also, Redbeard the dog is so adorable!

A word on next week's extra episode. Without trying to sound too cryptic (to avoid spoilers), it's an episode you have to just take as it comes and stick with it. There may be moments where you think 'what?' but, hey, this is Sherlock so it always eventually makes sense. It's going to certainly be a fun one!

I've heard it said that Magnusson is Mycroft's Moriarty. A true genius, beyond even Sherlock's mind palace capacity, and the only way Sherlock could beat him, after being completely outsmarted, was by physically destroying him.

The writting was soo good. At first we're all "SHE LIED TO JOHN!!! OFF WITH HER HEAD" But then we get more of her background and that she didnt keep it from him to hurt him but because she was scared he would see her differently and leave her. took us right back around! 🩵🩵 and Redbeard is a total cutie!!!!!!
