I don't know if it is right to call The 22nd Century a "new" project but it certainly has been under-the-radar for quite some time. I worked on the idea with artist Nick Raimo awhile back and produced concept designs, character sketches and even a few test pages. I'll be sharing those with you on this page over the coming months and discussing the creative process behind them.

Nick had to step away from the project after he took on a day job. You might remember his work on my book Dealers. We remain good friends and I would still love for him to draw The 22nd Century. If he can't fit it into his schedule, however, I will move and find a new artist.

I've always been excited by the concept and am especially motivated now to fire it up again. The story itself is self-contained but is related to a larger span of tales I've been working on that are connected via a timeline and a key artifact.

I'm using the program Scrivener to organize what I have so far and write the book itself. I'll be showcasing progress here along with screenshots and downloads of my work. If you have any questions about the process I'll be more than happy to answer them via the comments section or private message.

I've never been this open before about how I create a comic. I'm combining older techniques with new methods. This could turn into a mess or perhaps something wonderful. Either way, I hope it at least proves interesting.

Thank you for your support and more on The 22nd Century very soon!
