Fake ~ Music by Christian Beranek (Patreon)

Punk rock is basically three chords and attitude. Telling it like it is. No fronting. That is what this song is about.
I was age 21 when I wrote it and it was originally supposed to be part of a 10-track album. Sean Crowley handled the bass and drums while I played guitar and sang. We had another person who was supposed to play drums but he quit the day before recording began. The reason? He said I sounded too much like a country singer. I still laugh about that to this day.
Sean decided to take a hiatus from music a few days after we recorded it so this represents the last song we did together. I moved out of town a few weeks later, closing the book on this period of my life. I do plan on writing about that era one day. There's just something about living in the 90s and having a dream.
As for the GIF? I shot a video at Royale Crown Homemade Ice Cream and Grille in Hammonton, NJ at the start of this summer. Will have more news on that project soon. Just thought the kinetic feel of this short clip fits the tempo of the song.
