Mori and Era WIP! (+Christmas Portrait Commissions) (Patreon)

I am still not 100% on all the gold detailing (or their crowns) but these are definitely the color palettes I want for both of them. They are muted and deeper to match the rest of the story's colors, and I think they go together well too! Both have black, but Mori's is dominant and Era's is an accent. Her deep green goes with his desaturated reddish brown. All the greys lean more cool-toned as well. 

Something I really need to work on is keeping clothing consistent at different angles though, but I'm slowly starting to understand. Also figuring out how the heck to draw Mori's wild hair better???I'm attaching the nude sketches and flat colors for them to the bottom for anyone that is curious! As I've mentioned in the past, I like designing that part of a character when it feels important to. They are in their 60s, Era had a child and Mori lost a lot of weight due to his bad heart (which is why he has a cane sword and a forearm crutch for his weaker days) This is also why I chose the cape silhouette for Mori, because he would wear it to try and hide how frail his body feels underneath. Era's body is pretty straightforward. Sagging from age, carrying weight differently because of her shorter height and no visible signs that she is a shapeshifter. Now to work on their other designs...
