a new story idea (Patreon)

I was drawing from some books I have on flowers and medicinal plants and thought about an herbalist that befriends (and falls in love with) a painter with a serious illness. 

This painter inherited the overgrown property of his late parents, and along with that came a huge garden, greenhouse, and forest. 

The herbalist offers to treat him with various medicines and to help take care of him. In turn, the painter lets him move in so the place feels a little less lonely.

I haven't decided on what the two of them look like yet or the setting (I'm thinking Victorian?) but I do know that it will be a dark romance with a bittersweet ending. 

I would like to call it "Love lies bleeding' as it happens to be the name of a type of Amaranthus plant. 

It's an idea that has probably been done a thousand times, but I wanted to do something with my love of plants! Hopefully, I'll have more to share soon. 🌿
