JoJo’s SBR is the most universally acclaimed arc of all time and only #2 behind Berserk due to lack of popularity yet ironically for a demographically wider audience being a mix of both Shonen (demographic for teens) and Seinen (demographic for adults) The true best thing since sliced bread and 2nd coming of Jesus. No matter what anyone’s agenda or sensibilities/tastes are, SBR aims to please or at least entertain on all critical fronts. The biggest concern was how they would animate the horses since they are notoriously difficult to animate in general, so just the fact that it even looks this good is promising. Also Fun Fact: 50 million back in 1890 is worth 1.78 billion today adjusted for inflation.

Due to copyright of its musical references, it took initially 25 years for JoJo’s to get an adaptation, and now after another 13+ years we have finally made it to this seemingly unadaptable (due to its detailed art style) grand pinnacle of adventure. Parts 1 - 3 is about setting the ground for the JoJo’s, parts 4 - 6 is exploring the Bizarre, and now Parts 7 - 9 is the Adventure like no other. The bizarre reflection of our reality and a celebration of humanity. Part 7 onwards is the “The Good, The Bad and Ugly” of Everything. The true point and message behind the series which started to reveal itself with part 5- Araki “It deals with the sorrow of being born, about having no choice in life or only one place where one belongs, The sadness of a character in the dark underbelly of society, human relationships, friend versus enemies, the Beauty of betrayal, those are the themes.” Now the follow up part everyone focuses on “The men are important, Beautiful men, drawing beautiful men was the main focus” And lastly The most essential and critical part everyone ignores or forgets “The Beauty in meeting one’s doom…..Men who can only exist in that world” = The True Man’s World.

I wouldn’t worry about David productions, they’re delivering even with fire force. We’re more concerned about how Netflix will handle it being weekly or batches, even if it’s more likely to be weekly this time around but still ain’t confirmed which is nerve racking.

To answer Pat’s question, Part 1 took place in the late 1880s, which is pretty much the same time this takes place in an alternate universe. It’s totally paralleled.

So far from what’s been completed in the anime Part 5 > Part 4 > Part 6 > Part 3 > Part 2 > Part 1. This part could be the best and part 8 might be right behind it but we’ll see.

Listen, it’s clear you obviously prefer part 6 and that’s fine, but let’s not be like OP fans that parade sales as if that equals better quality, especially when SBR shifted to a different magazine altogether where sales became irrelevant. Sales have to do with popularity through accessibility and simplicity in some cases, not quality or substance.

u obviously love this part, so you're going to defend it no matter what. However, it’s dishonest to act as though Steel Ball Run changing magazines was the sole reason for its underperformance in sales; what many Western JoJo fans don't want to acknowledge is that the franchise started underperforming from that point onward. Additionally, you RTTV fans love acting like you're in a hive mind. When this part ends and people inevitably dislike it because of the ending, you’re all going to switch up on what is apparently your favorite part.

David productions is actually ramping up the pace for this like they usually do with their rapidfire paced animes so there wont really be any slow build up but regardless will be greatly entertaining all throughout if they managed to handle the beginning this well.

Believe it or not, this isn’t even my favorite part of the series, i’m just completely on board with it and I can recognize what’s critically better as true quality even beyond my favorites, just like I can recognize that part 6 has the best ending in the series. This part has universal acclaim which goes beyond sales and proves that it’s a beloved part as even you know, regardless of what argument you try to make against it with underperforming sales which is mostly dictated by Japan that clearly didn’t care much for it, yet everyone talks fondly of including the ending. The anime will most certainly and clearly do it justice.

Abilities and charctwr names are named after songs or bands but due to copyright they are changed for everyone outside japan. Like foo fighters in part 6 the subtitles and dub actors called it FF, but sub voice actors say foo fighters.

I think you're being a bit too harsh, I understand the starting plot is very different to whats normally expected of JoJo, but I'll tell you we haven't even begun to delve to the true underlying goal of this Part. I would say hold out a bit, you won't be dissapointed
