The story is mid in the anime too but jjk had one of the worst manga endings of ALL TIME, even all the JJK content creators were calling it trash. It’s not even just the horrible ending too, there were many unfinished plot points, wasted characters, way too convenient asspulls and repetitiveness.

I like JJK, but it is unique in making me pause to read shit because I also want to see the animation. The narrator is saying important shit, and it's hard to see both at once. It's an issue they created. I think season 2 is one of the best seasons in anime, up there with Mob Psycho & Vinland Saga season 2 for me, but this season definitely has highs and lows.

This seasons director has been good, but let’s be honest how annoying is it they’ve got the narration of techniques in the middle of fights constantly ? Of course they cater first to their native audience but it’s crazy how you gotta pause and go back for these scenes

OMG! I just imagined how annoying that fight would be if it had this narration and so much text during it. Imagine captions and narration explaining Goku's Kaioken x20 while you are trying to watch them fight. 😆

Definitely that’s the one flaw but same time something about not-so-clear-cut or easier-ish explanations and waiting somehow makes things feel more real. Hard to grasp at times but real.

The minute Reggie hit the ground running my respect for him kept growing. We got killer moments from Megumi but this was a full out lengthier and uninterrupted fight with a match up similar to his. His shadow technique is cool you don’t think about it but like using those receipts it only looks that way because the sorcerer knows how to use it well. The first time I thought Reggie died it felt unjust because he’s been so cold throughout. So honestly I’m thankful for the way he went out. It felt very him, to just stir the pot even after death. A lasting impression like that makes a character like him that much greater.

Imagine if he had military receipts he could have won he just didn’t have a big enough arsenal. Plus he was fighting a genius. Megumi is truly like that. But Yuta is a whole other dawg. I’m not even surprised he worked over bro so fast. This is about to be good. I can’t wait
