The giant flying turtle is a parody to gamera katsura rode on. Gamera a flying turtle kaiju that breathes fire. Highly recommend gamera heisei trilogy films. It was a fire trilogy worth reacting to. You would like gamera as a character. Gamera trilogy films: Gamera: guardian of the universe Gamera: advent of legion Gamera: revenge of Iris

They didn't really explain why age (and beauty) is such a big deal in this folktale and this arc but here's a little explanation: Urashima Taro, a young fisherman, rescues a turtle that was being bullied by kids on a beach and to show him how grateful it was, the turtle takes him to the Ryuugu Palace, deep underwater. There, Taro falls in love with the princess Otohime, the most gorgeous woman he's ever seen. He enjoys her presence, the feasts and all the luxuries in the Palace for that seemed like mere days to him (some versions say he was there for 3 years). One day, he is reminded of his village and wants to go back home to see his mother. Otohime is very sad about it but gives him a little box, tells him to not open it and sends him on his way home with the turlte that got him there. Once in his village, Taro realizes that centuries had passed, when it felt like days to him because the time flow was different. Devastated, he opens the box which releases some smoke that turns into an old man. That'd explain the last scene of Gin and Katsura turning into old men because of the smoke

Hey guys, I just wanted to say that I really enjoy your reactions; it’s been so rewarding watching you guys enjoy my favorite anime. If you want to add another one to your recommendation list, there’s an anime called *Kingdom*—it’s my number two. Unfortunately, the animation in the first season is really bad, but if you can make it through that, you’ll get to experience peak anime and a peak story.

Shinsegumi all together are one of the funniest. Sometimes even beating the trio of odd jobs. But katsura and gin combo is unbeatable

Rocky Kliff

Lol how’d they miss Kagura’s line at 13:35 😂😂😂

Kagura is the funniest to me but I think Madao & Kondo are up there too 🤣 Really everyone is funny, Pachi boy gets stuck as the straight man usually but he’s still hilarious to me
