Man they definitely killing the action with this pacing. Seems like they keeping it just one “big moment” per episode😓 Egghead is the most action packed arcs imo, can’t wait for whats to come🔥

Saturn's a grade A hater, staying on the island just to personally make sure things go as Bad as possible for everyone involved lol killer discussion + reaction as always, really enjoyed the bits about Kizaru especially, they really do have him going through it this arc. Looking forward to the next reaction!

It's not that, though action heavy episodes will benefit. Put in short you have this situation - a tv network asks Toei to produce 1 OP episode a week under contractual obligation (minus break weeks) of current content which attracts good ratings, but they're also forced to do 1 chapter per episode as to not get caught up (meanwhile breaks are there to mitigate Oda's breaks). But Oda has been delivering lots of 12 page or so chapters for some time now (they vary from 12 to 18~). This is such a chapter. There's not much content here, and not every director gets resources to do bombastic things with filler. In short, everyone nags at Toei's directors/animators when it's not their fault. They're just put in a bad position by a contract (from higher above Toei), Oda's breaks and Oda's short chapters.

Really loved the emphasis on the heartbreak of the whole situation. Also the newest opening is top 2 for me in the entire show. Toei delivered.

Toei has been straight up cutting out sanjis moments from this arc hopefully they show some stuff in the rest of the arc lol

? I just made a joke about animators and I just checked, they turned 3 short chapters into two episodes with padding. It's getting dragged. Thats it

It's okay to be bothered by pacing and to express that, but what I'm saying is at least point fingers at the right person. Frankly millions of people complain and get outraged at animators for literally things out of their control, so just a friendly reminder - as social media once again blew up the last two weeks of "animators are ruining OP". It's just nonsensical. Also, your "that's it" is exactly my attitude - the above message is "hey, it's tv network's fault, that's it".

@BakedPuff Unfortunately, that's easier said than done. I'm sure the Zoro fight will be extended by a large margin. However, heavily animated action is usually assigned to heavily prioritized episode as it requires tons of resources (in form of time). A chapter that is for all things basic, can't get that - it would be a waste, as time is finite, and animators can't work on every single episode with 100% effort.

Sanji fan schizophrenia again. Read the chapter (1105). Sanji actions are verbatim; manga accurate. Maybe people are thinking of future chapters. But the only disrespecting happening this episode is slowing memory of you guys.

I actually didn’t think this ep was bad. Solo leveling and JJK got people expecting flash every episode. When one piece ends we gonna wish we had episodes like this. It’s the overall story we love and things are moving.

Yeah I definitely understand one piece sometimes have to slow down to build the story before the hype but the build up makes the hype moments better.

Am I the only one thinking TURN ON YOUR DAMN ROCKET BOOTS as Bonney, Kuma, Franky, and Atlas are falling? 3 of the 4 have rocket feet lol that aside, I'm excited for the upcoming episodes, they should be a lot of fun

Also you're right, before the long break we saw one of Blackbeard's rafts on the outside perimeter of Egghand island. So Blackbeard or at least one of his commanders is a good guess.

huh? Its not just what Sanji's actions, he should be moving fast even if in the manga did this and that is what happened. They shouldnt have just paced Sanji running and sky walking for a whole dang hour, they should choose scenes wisely so Sanji can still look fast cause he is. If Toei cant animate that properly they should get all my middle fingers.
