I’m pretty sure the pipe that Madara used to kill Konan was just a regular pipe from that rubble he was standing on earlier. It was hollow and Pains rods were solid. Also Konan’s paper cut through it and I think Pains rods were stronger than that. After he started choking her, he put her in a genjutsu to make her tell where Nagato’s body was.
