For everyone hating on the boondocks - It's an anime inspired comedy about kids from the hood moving into an affluent neighborhood. Lots of hip hop based themes and characters. Heat and Hus used to rap every episode recap. The reactions are going to be good. In yinz defense its episodic so, so there wont be a big reaction journey over time. But maybe they just do a season at a time, move on to a different show, and come back to do another season some months down the road. **Edit thought of this after: So Heat and Hus are really good at taking mildly funny stuff and riffing off of it with their banter and doing parodies of characters with voices. Then look at Ippo, where there were straight up comedy scenes / full episodes. Those reactions were straight gold, because the base material was already funny.

Honestly if they had a really good youtube base it would be a good show to be patreon exclusive and get people converted, but thats kinda a mute point.

I know everyone will say that about the series they recommend (and everyone is correct, honestly) but Gintama is REALLY GOOD. I hate overhyping stuff I like but allow it just this once. It has a ton of variety, but isn't a jack of all trades, it's a king of all trades. Second it's truly unique. I love the big three, grew up on them, will always love them, but sometimes they blend together (which is fine, you get to see how Oda Kishi and the Kubo do things their own awesome way) but Gintama is mind-blowing for a first timer, it's something probably no one has seen in any other medium before, makes for a great reaction. Third it's hilarious, it's epic, it's dramatic, it's silly, it's comforting at times and truly emotional at others and it's a crazy unforgettable experience. True, it is long. But honestly I think if after 50 or 100 eps if it is hopeless views-wise and doesn't click with Hus and Heat at all, Gintama fans would probably prefer that you tried it and couldn't finish it or it lost in a revote a season in, rather than never tried it. Speaking of the length though - the length of the big 3 probably helped get some stable viewers, and adding another long one may help now that Naruto and Bleach are coming to an end. Also, recently RT TV started reacting to it, I saw Nicholas Light expressing interest in it too (though maybe he does that with everything haha), but with another reactor (RT TV) also in on it (and being able to post the reactions on YouTube), people will be searching "Gintama reactions" more often (I know I do), and besides them no one else is reacting to it currently so there's a huge power vacuum you guys can fill. And it got a new movie this year and I'm sure they're planning more content in the future, they can still milk it since it made a billion or two yen in the theatres this year Gintama is criminally underreacted to, and there's certain arcs along the way that are guaranteed views.

Yea I was tempted to say this on my comment. Votes are votes. Like its literally data. Of course Patreon isn't Youtube but everyone here came from Youtube lol. We are the fan base. I don't understand the idea that they are going to get "new" fans that wouldn't also like the boondocks. If One Piece, the biggest anime of all time (that's currently nearing its end) isn't working, its straight up an algorithm thing not "what shows people care about". Also they aren't behind in One Piece which could be an counter argument. What I think everyone is really worried about is that the young audience won't care about old shows, which is possible.

The boondocks, bleach, naruto etc, it's all nostalgia and won't bring in younger people. They've made the mistake of not keeping up with the latest trend shows for a while now and it hurt the channel. If they keep watching old shows things will just get worse. They need to follow the hype. Just a few popular ongoing shows like One Piece and Invincible is not nearly enough to get traction on YT.

search Boondocks reaction, i see a 188k view video, 306k view video, and 694k view video. Also how do you know they won't have the best reaction? You think watching something where they don't even show up in the search results cause they get flooded out by 800,000 channels reacting to the same thing is how you get views? mushuko and knights of the seven are pretty recent with mushoku dropping at the moment. imo those seem best for the algorithm but i think castlevaynia is a classic and can do well.

Black Clover, and slime for ongoing black clover will be the #1 show to watch from October when they drop season 2 its peak and woud be good to watch like 4 eps a week, will bring up ratings. mushoku tensei is a good show but not for everyone because of the pedo shit. i know boondocks is the most voted and woud vote for that too but fk that shit, real nga talk, most these dudes tryna box u in some stereotypical shit, dont fall for that playa.

Boondocks is one of the most loved shows in the black community. Idk what these squares in the comments are talking about. Then one of them said season 3 was bad??? The only bad season was the last one because of ownership / writer change. The show is hilarious, & has deep / nuanced exploration of black culture.
