Re: the timeline of the cheating & “Resentment” the song was originally on the B’Day album from 2006 but it was originally written for Victoria Beckham, who recorded her version in 2003. When Beyoncé recorded her version in 2006, she did contribute additional writing & production. So it was never specifically about Jay. But there were a lot of blind items in the tabloids throughout the years about that, but nothing confirmed, until the Lemonade Album in 2016

What a wonderful surprise on this beautiful Sunday afternoon! I thought we’d have to wait until April for this so I did a double take when I saw the email lol but I just wanna say respectfully Audrey, F those people who had something negative to say about you living your life! That’s so freaking weird to me it’s like people want you to be just as miserable as they are and it’s so sad. Honestly the people who care about you and really love your reactions want you to enjoy yourself and you work so hard to give us these amazing reactions, you deserve to go out and have a good time with friends! I’m so glad you could relate to Beyonce just like we do! People really write her off because of what the media says about her. The song “Resentment” was on her 2nd album, B’Day, before they were married. We aren’t 100% sure that song is about Jay, but after Lemonade she performs that song related to his infidelity. At that point it was just another song to perform lol Don’t think he cheated on her while she was pregnant.

This is one of my favorite docs from Beyonce especially because of how vulnerable she was. I remember being so young watching this (about 14??) and not understanding half of it but being inspired by her work ethic and confidence. Beyoncé for me was what it meant to be a woman and I still hold on to that to this day as a reminder to not try and be like her but to try and find my own version of myself and what that looks like for me. Also, hearing you speak at the end! Can I just say I didn’t sub just for reactions. I subbed to Patreon and yt because I was especially happy that I found a new version of what it means to be a woman and to be authentically yourself in a platform where fame and likability is the goal. Of course no one is on such a public platform just for that but it’s nice to see someone else that is outside of the industry be so openly them. Idk if that makes sense but I’m rooting for you always !!

The song she wrote about her miscarriage didn’t end up making the album — the small part that played in the doc is the only part that she has shared. The Atlantic City concert was filmed 4 months after she gave birth to Blue. It was her big return to the stage.

Jesus listening to what you’re saying at the end of this .. really worries me about where our hyper-online hyper-connected society is going?? there seems to be such a steep rise in individualism (which I partly understand, times are hard for most people rn so no one can be blamed for prioritising themselves), but I feel far too many people feel far too entitled to things, especially from more public figures! and that coupled with the ease and anonymity that the internet gives us all means that people feel FARRRRR too comfortable saying the most atrocious things to people online, often over the most insignificant things!! Beyonce used to enjoy sharing her personal life as well. She would vlog, read fan mail and personally reply to people. I forget what platform it was but she stopped because people are just evil. Smh
