Dhalia Swann

I'm not a huge fan of David in these episodes David refuses to go the way Hook says and insists on going another way and then he says "Hook may have led us astray.." Um, who did what now? and that's not the only time he's acts like a dick On another note, I just finished Netflix's The Gentlemen which has Giancarlo Esposito (the mirror) and he's just amazing in everything

Jennifer Lawrence

When I think about it... I feel like most of the characters go through an arc at some point (at the least) where they make it very difficult to like them, lol

David is not one of my favourite characters, but I don't hate him, I just feel like he can be very hypocritical at times and occasionally a little too self-righteous at times

Yes yes yes to the whole focus on belief and emphasis on your mindset! Part of the reason this show is so dear to me is because it was coming out when life hit me hard and I had to learn that very lesson so I could pick myself up and keep going. I actually binged it and caught up right as the beginning of season three was coming out. Was super cynical and had the mindset that love and kindness was weakness. To see these villains and obnoxiously optimistic heroes clash and grow together helped me a lot lol

You really need to look into the books by Neville Goddard. You'd really like them. All about your mind and the power of your thoughts.

This is why I really love season three. It takes the characters we know and challenges their weaknesses or helps them to grow. Like for example Regina, obviously she's still violence first, but you can see the changes are happening with her. Also Emma's really starting to look at her trauma face first and that's the first step for her to become more of a hero, by learning to truly accept herself and accept her family.

Just want you to know that you make me excited for Tuesdays so that I can watch your reactions to these even though I already know what's going to happen 😅

I agree with everyone about the power of positivity and belief comes from within and not just knowing “I’m the savior” vs “I am the savior” And Audrey touched on repositioning evil characters and bringing in new evil ones. I’ve always liked that the show shows that you might be the BAMF or the HBIC like the evil queen and Rumple but be careful, there could always be someone above you in the pecking order (or magical ability order). As we’ve seen Rumple and Regina are more cautious than they would’ve been in the past because they know Pan is powerful and doesn’t have the humanity they have to hold them back. If that makes sense. So this season shows inner belief and outer belief of what’s actually going on. I hope that makes some sense, it makes sense in my head lol

I don't comment on here too often, but I just wanted to say YES to what you said about the mind. Positive thinking positive thoughts. Laws of attraction. My mentor says the same thing that we can create our heaven. And One of the best things he taught me was everything is energy and that blew my mind. When I was a negative person I had no idea how much I was attracting so much negativity and negative results as well. The mind is very powerful.

I agree about the mind being very powerful ! One of the things I love about OUAT is how they show the power of our subconscious / unconscious and our feelings in addition to our conscious thoughts . What is happening to Rumple's and and Emmai's emotional states is a a great example of that .

Yet another amazing reaction :) I'd like to point out one thing that you kinda made a comment on which was why were they showing us the past in Enchanted Forest again and while there is always a main reason that serves the plot, there is also an amazing reason for it in terms of creating narrative both for the characters and the viewers - which is never letting us forget who Regina was and while that could be counterproductive in a path to redemption story line (usually writers want you to forget about it and move past it) OUAT has never done that. They want her redemption to be earned to the point where you have her past self always in your mind and then you see how she is changing and the further it goes the bigger the contrast is which, to me, is a ballsy but genius move. They knew they could write a redemption story well and didn't shy away from any of it and from testing that redemption over and over again. Also, side note, I chuckled when you talked about your driving experience in Thailand and were like "what's the worst that can happen? running over someone?", many people would think that's a big enough risk and not do it, but it does show how mentally strong you are and that's admirable.

I will check them out. Just started a book club here so might be one to add in the future

Haha! I made sure to drive reeeeally slow so if I did hit someone, they wouldn’t be hurt too bad. Luckily people drive like crazy in Yhailand so hitting someone wouldn’t be anything unusual. Hahah
