Idk I'd also keep Michael tbh 'cause I think he's more unique than Shanna. He's getting better week by week, too, while so many of the contestants are falling off really. It's my opinion considering this and the previous ep. Though I don't think he can get passed thru the remaining contestants, as they are both, more talented than him and also constantly improving and not having so many flops compared to others.

I think judging on this week and this week only, it shouldn't have been Michael. I think he did enough to not be the bottom of the week other than the homework assignment. I get the frusturation when he's been the weakest throughout the season, but judging the current week specifically is important I think. Otherwise why make it a week to week structure.

Benjamin Smith

I get that Michael is given a similar critique each week but it bothered me that Shanna pretty much placed all the blame on Michael and none on herself stating she’s never been given a bad critique so it had to have been Michael’s fault only. And I’m on the other side, I feel like Shanna saying she didn’t deserve to be in the bottom and that it should’ve been Michael is why I cheered when she was eliminated. Yes Shanna has a great voice but she’s done nothing to really stand out for me in the videos. I also think based on this week and judging the week alone, Michael should definitely have not been in the bottom. He stepped it up in the studio and did really well in the video shoot. They really do pick just one thing that could put them in the bottom and like Blake said he gave them a reason when in the studio. Same with Shanna in the homework assignment and in the video shoot.

Heather

I’m only as far as the homework assignment, I gotta go back and finish. But I just wanted to point out how funny it is that Blake got so close to Ali to “throw” her the paper airplane note. That was so awkward I couldn’t stop laughing and I wanted to mention it before I forgot.

Megan Christina

My biggest beef with the video was always that they gave 2/3 of the couples a relatively limited area to work with (the bleachers, a closet), but then the other two were given dancey choreography in the entire auditorium. I think it would have been a really different result if they'd been, say, on stage doing their cat and mouse thing around a big piano rather than chasing each other through the giant room.

Heather

Yeah, they mostly judge it week by week, and so do I. Either way, it was very uncool of Shanna to throw Michael under the bus like that. She was already in the bottom three, they’d judged that he had done better than she did this week, and that was the end of it. All she did was make herself look petty and like she couldn’t take responsibility. Not a great note to go out on.

Heather

Yeah, I didn’t get that either. Everyone else got “stand/sit here, lip sync, and look like you want to make out with each other”. Meanwhile they got “run and dance around this auditorium and lip sync and also be romantic, but stop looking like you’re dancing. Why are you dancing?”

Jennifer Lawrence

Right. I have a hard time picturing a character for her on the show. Especially versus a lot of the others. Maybe if there was more opportunities to see other sides of her.

Landon Ballesteros

I’d say I would’ve kept the same bottom 3. I think Michael, though he did get the same repetitive note in homework, really delivered in the shoot. I’ve come to appreciate Blake’s versatility a lot more after all these years. As a 16-year-old watching this show I was always bored of him because he just seemed like a typical jock, but now I see that he really could play anything - bully, dork, sweet and sensitive. I was really disappointed when Shanna said she could be “the athletic girl who’s involved in everything and can sing her face off” because to me that’s hardly a unique addition to Glee at all. I would’ve loved to have a country-type singer in the Season 4 cast because we didn’t have one of those yet except for a little bit from Sam and Beiste. So as sad as it makes me, I do agree with her elimination this week. As for Lily, I loved this week for her. 😊

M Russell

I do feel like Shanna could've either been gone this or next week tbh, like Ryan said she just doesn't have an uniqueness that he can write from a writers perspective, she said that she could see her character in Glee as an athletic girl who could sing her ass off, but, there is literally Brittney and Santana in the show already... last week i do feel like they saved Michael for drama only, but this one i think he did pretty good or at least better than those on the bottom 3, but same as i said with Shanna, he could've either been gone last week or the next and i would be okay with it lol..

Turnip Crazy

I agree with bottom three. Based off of the week not anything else, I think Michael didn't get enough wrong to warrant being in the bottom. Blake showed to be having a lot of issues in the booth, Shanna struggled a lot with connecting with both partners, and Aylin also struggled a bit with her partnerships.

Selma Jabr

Favorite: Lily was great this week and Aylin is probably my favorite overall. My bottom 3: Michael for obvious reasons. He’s this seasons Samual Larson. Shanna, and Blake. So I’m in full agreement. Send home: Michael no question. Full disclosure, I made the mistake of googling where the GP contestants are now and got spoilers on how far they got. But Shanna going home was still a surprise. It has never been more clear that they kept Michael for drama reasons and from what I’ve read from those who have already seen this season, there really isn’t any drama! I’m just pissed that the mentors (though it’s more likely the TV people) would do something that effects the other contestants simply because they want a fight.🙄 Also after the mistakes of season 1, Ryan watches the MV before eliminating someone this time. But I’m glad there’s finally an acting challenge. (I think I know who the mentor is for that.) Also is it any surprise that Blake is good at being a bully, whether it’s a physical or emotional one? Talk about your foreshadowing.

Selma Jabr

I thought a great character idea for Shanna was a girl from Georgia who loves track (not cheerleading) and farm animals, who grew up singing with her grandmother who recently passed, and she joins glee as a way to keep her memory alive and become friends with Sam. But just friends because glee didn’t do platonic boy/girl friendships enough.

Jonesy96

I do think that this week Michael did enough to not be in the bottom 3. He showed some good signs in the booth and during the video shoot. They chose the same bottom 3 that I did. It's tougher now that there is only a few of them left. Going to get even tougher next week.

Eliza Wilson

I thought Michael was good this week like him and lily were kind of cute … I dunno I thought Shanna was quite stand offish from the get go about working with Michael Keen for next week because I remember the music video and it’s really good !

Benjamin Smith

Yeah like immediately she was all I hope he doesn’t ruin this for me because he’s had the same note multiple times while I haven’t had any critiques.

Ellie

I know you are very against the reality tv aspect, but I feel like it gets focused on too much. Your opinion is your opinion and I do like to hear it but this was not Michael's week in the bottom, i think he did a lot better than some of the others and he did well in studio, he deserved to move on even if other weeks weren't amazing. Zach is the biggest hype man in the world and I love him

Lu

I personally feel Michael didn’t get enough critic to be in bottom 3 this week. Besides the homework feedback he did incredible in the studio AND in the video shoot.

Landon Ballesteros

One thing I just remembered about this episode was that while they were still filming, Iqbal Theba (Principal Figgins) tweeted a photo of him and these final six contenders on set. The season 2 cast hadn’t even been announced yet. So some of us believed he had accidentally leaked the top six, and others felt it was probably an earlier week and Iqbal just took a photo with a group of any six contenders. 😂 The photo was quickly taken down (he probably got in a lot of trouble for it haha), but I remembered their physical appearances and as the weeks dwindled down I was like yep, that was definitely the top 6.
