I hate that she felt like she needed to remove the ‘spelling is fun’ line from the song on iTunes, etc. I loved it. Other people bitched about it. But it’s weird to have just the music to it now.

You're going to love False God! It's one my favorites. Lover was released in 2019, 2 yrs after Reputation, like butterflies after the snakes. Then Covid hit and all the tour was canceled.

I had a lot going on in my life when lover came out I liked it, but I wasn’t obsessed with it, but it is definitely the album that over the years has been the biggest grower for me. I return to it more than almost any other album of Taylor’s. The version of Cornelia Street in this special is my favorite version of that song by a mile.

Looking forward to your Lover reaction too. It's an interesting album where she experimented with some different sounds. She did a really wide range of live performances for Lover too. I love the BBC Live Lounge one. She did a gorgeous cover of Phil Collins' Can't Stop Loving You. It's such a shame that LoverFest was cancelled because of Covid, because there were some songs she was clearly saving for a big production like Cruel Summer and we ended up having to wait until The Eras Tour for it. There were songs she played from her first 6 albums as part of this show too, but they weren't included in the 'City of Lover' video. I think partly to showcase the Lover songs, but also because it was so soon after the masters were sold and there was some wrangling about recorded performances.

Audrey are those high notes. The kind of thing that she might struggle with as she gets older? ( I've seen a lot of Joan Baez, etc in the past decade and they are awesome, but voices definitely change)

Love love this concert so much. Since covid canceled the loverfest shows, these are kinda rare live performances of some of these songs and were sung here while she was still dating the muse behind them, which did change things slightly during eras tour and post breakup. She looked a little distraught for a while. I also kinda doubt she ever plays cornelia street live again. i don't think she has since then. maybe eventually it will be fine, but idk

I just adore Lover, it's so underrated but it's one of my absolute favorites. And it's definitely one of her most unique albums cause it dabbles in lots of new sounds and styles she doesn't do very often, and as you said is such a beautiful love letter to the 🌈 community
