figgins complaining about will being competitive when he's the one who threatened to shut down the club if they didn't place is kinda wild. and saying will is too competitive and resolving it by bringing in sue of all people is CRAZY. worth it for this plot though!

Listen Terri is awful but she’s just such entertaining chaos and I love it

Liv Heskett

Fun fact, Jenna said she still has issues with her neck to this day because of the halo/walking on sunshine number 😭😭

Jennifer Lawrence

Right. There's some characters I'd absolutely hate if I knew them in real life but I love watching them, lol. They keep things interesting with their specific brand of insanity

Jennifer Lawrence

I still love the mashups from this episode and listen to them regularly

Alex Foster

Same! I love these mashups. I listen to them while cleaning my house they give me soo much motivation to just gooo

Jennifer Lawrence

Ironically right now I'm listening to the I Can't Go For That/You Make My Dreams mashup right now, lol. They're just such a mood booster

While I actually prefer the back 9 episodes to the first 13, these are very solid and iconic. And I totally agree that what Emma and Will were doing was completely wrong. It doesn’t matter if she’s pregnant or not, they’re still married! If I had to make a guess as to why Ryan started AHS, he wanted to capitalize on glee’s success to boost other projects and he did have LOTS of help with those. Also I get the feeling that he is a bit ADHD and gets easily distracted by the best shiny thing that comes his way. Lots of his shows start off great but decline as time goes on. Scream Queens is a good example and AHS is the best example of that. Except for Pose. That show is immaculate. And while I do really enjoy seasons 5 & 6, you’re right that these earlier seasons just had a different vibe to them. There’s a reason as to why Ryan said that the time during these first 13 was the best time of his life. Also does anyone think that Ken’s last-minute proposal speech wasn’t bad?! Not to mention he got her a ring that she might actually like based on her interests. Very sweet. I feel bad for him honestly.

I'm going to admit that I actually like Rachel a lot more in the first season and a half to two seasons than later on. She's selfish but it seems a lot more driven by fear than arrogance like in the later seasons and there's still a lightness and kindness to her that seems to kinda disappear as the seasons go on. As for Ryan Murphy leaving, this is a total guess but I think it's a little bit of what actors go through of if they stop and don't have more and more projects that things will dry out for them. He felt the need especially after previous "failures" to capitalize on the fame and success of Glee

Faking the pregnancy and lying to Will aside, she was right in my opinion. What Will and Emma have been doing is wrong and just like Rachel with Finn, Emma is indeed trying to steal Will away from Terri. These two storylines do really mirror each other with the kids and the adults in this pregnancy/love triangle. It’s truly sad that Ken would choose to settle for Emma knowing she really wouldn’t be with him ever. Will and Terri’s marriage was doomed from the start but I don’t think all the blame is on Terri, Will definitely played a part in it.

Halo/Walking on Sunshine is one of my favorite Glee numbers, cracks me up!

Nate

Totally agree. The early seasons were the absolute best!

Should Will have put an end to what Emma was doing? Yes. Should Emma have stopped? Yes. What Terri does to Will throughout the season lying to him about the thing he wants most of all is deplorable. You don't lie about carrying someone's child in a marriage. She's a psycho. She was able to snow her way into the job as the "nurse," which is a total joke, just to spy on him. He's right. There does have to be separation in a relationship from work and home life. Personal space. The other episode when Terri's sister is going along with her for the rouse about lying to Will about their baby is sick. Oh and Terri manipulating Quinn to get the baby...that's noble of her to try and cover up her lies to Will. Then giving those "vitamins" to the students and making her coworker buy the boxes for her...come on...she knew what she was doing was wrong. She should be the one arrested. She can't work 5 days because it's too much? Look at how she manipulated Will to try and get the house they couldn't afford. He got the janitor job so they could have a life together with a child. You know, the one that she isn't carrying. I can't wait to watch the episode when things backfire on her and Will leaves her. I have zero sympathy for her. She from start to finish knew what she was doing was wrong but did it anyways. The betrayal and pain in Will's eyes when he finds out she's been lying shakes me to my core. You can truly see how devastated he is. Yes Emma and Will shouldn't have flirted with each other but he wasn't being a calculating jerk to get what he wanted at all costs and to be selfish like Terri does. Is this storyline good for captivating viewers? Sure. That's why it's there. Terri is so paranoid to lose Will by spying on him, pretending to be a nurse, committing illegal acts in the process, taking away a child through manipulation, not offering to help pay for medical care...it's truly deplorable to me. She loses him in the end by her own doing. I can't wait to see Karma come for her.

Personally, I like further seasons better. Maybe I am biased because Kurt/Chris Colfer is my absolute favourite and he seems to be featured more in latter seasons...
