Seeing you kinda shipping Damon and Caroline because you didn't have all the information yet really hurt my heart. Damon raped and abused Caroline; she had no agency of her own and was terrified of him. The show should've made a much bigger deal out of that storyline. She grew into one of my fave characters over the seasons and it's arguably because of all the shit she went through and the badass she became in spite of it but it's always difficult to watch how she was being treated at the beginning.

Caroline is high up on the list of characters that I like. Her evolution made me happy and that's all I'm going to say. I don't think Damon loves Caroline. He gets to control her, feeds on her, and makes her believe a lot of things. I love the references they made about Taylor Swift and twilight and the books. The "douche-bag" guy that you mentioned his name is Tyler and his mother was there in the yellow dress I believe at the end and then the guy who first came into the room is Tyler's father who happens to be the mayor of the town. The witch that you mentioned her name is Bonnie and she's a total badass. Caroline's mom is the blonde Sheriff in the town at the end. Vicki's brother Matt (the hot blonde guy) is the one that dated Elena. When I first watched this it was so hard to keep track of so many characters names because there are so many but they will become second nature at some point. There is so much more to come and I can't wait to watch the next episode!

I totally agree that Elena also has to earn Stefans trust, but her frustration is so real!! Him not sharing anything with her and Damon,Bonnie and Caroline telling her things about him that she really can't say aren't true because he is not sharing is such a red flag. Having to watch your early theories and opinions is so frustrating and fun😅. Not being able to say anything because it would spoil the show is really hard sometimes. i love that you are enjoying it !!!!!!

I love all the ' what...wtf' from you Audrey, love your reactions so so much. It's so cool seeing you react to this for the first time, and trying to figure stuff out. I really hope we get through all the seasons before originals then (hopefully) Legacies, as I feel even though there are definitely filler episodes in every season, and you'll probably say stuff like 'grrrrrrrrr why you doing that!!! Noooo!' it's so so good for the complexity and depth of the characters, and tbh how some can be real badassess too hehe! 😏

I love this series through the end of season 6. Although, I will always watch season 7 & 8 too even though they aren’t my favorite. Those seasons grew on me during my last rewatch. I did not like them the 1st time I watched it, but many years later & I don’t dislike them anymore. They just aren’t my favorite.
