Showsimmer

I have no idea why this show didn’t get more popular. I have to believe it will get there at some point. It is one of the best produced shows I’ve seen, with fantastic actors and everything inbetween. I probably wouldn’t have heard about it myself, if it wasn’t for me being an Elvis fan. Riley (Daisy) is Elvis’ Granddaughter, if you didn’t know. I didn’t see a lot of press for it, I seeked it out myself. I’m so glad you’re enjoying the show and have gone on this journey! Thank you to both you and Clara ☺️

Love this episode, there's so much drama, but I feel like they changed a lot from the book in this one. For example Camilla, she's like a famous photographer actually, and she takes the photo for the album cover of Billy and Daisy arguing. The kiss, or almost kiss in the book, happens during a writing session I think. Also the music of the show is sooo good.

I find the moment at Daisy's door very interesting. With Billy leaving, and then them in the doc talking about it and him saying he just saw temptation and Daisy saying it wasn't the drugs. Because it was. She was right that it wasn't JUST the drugs, but it WAS the drugs too. I think part of him knew that if he gave into one, he'd give into both. Everything inside that room was a temptation for him. Daisy, the drugs, the alcohol, the lack of responsibility. They're so similar to each other, they both hate themselves and don't believe they're worthy of love or forgiveness or whatever is being offered to them. And that's both why they're so good together, but also why they're so bad for each other. They can hurt each other in a way no one else can because they know what hurts themselves, so they know what'll hurt each other too. And because they can just see right through each other. I love how much you understand all these characters though! They're all such a mess, and so interesting. In my opinion, they're all good people who have made some shitty decisions. They're just so human. I feel so bad for the rest of the band though. You just know that every single day they were sat in that recording studio waiting for Billy and/or Daisy to show up just hoping it would be a good day where they're not fighting. While also very aware of the fact that their fights often result in some awesome songs... 🤣 But I just know they were always stressing! 😭

Yes, thats what I thought. Even now 2 or 3 years (?) after relase the songs are on my playlist and I am hearing them over and over. :D I was also wondering: is Suki Waterhouse the only "real" musician in this band? I am so looking forward to her new album. I love her voice so much.

I think some of them had some musical experience previously, but overall, yeah, I think Suki was the only musician. I know Sam and Riley were really freaked out about the singing and were really relieved to have lockdown happen when they were supposed to start filming as it gave them more time to get good at it. 🤣

For a lot of people, and myself, emotional affairs are worse than a sexual affair
