THIS IS SUCH AN UNDERRATED LIVE PERFORMANCE

LEXINGTON S

The documentary you're talking about is "life is but a dream " which is great.

Erwin 𐚁

This concert is AMAZING

Monet Floyd

The song Party is her song. It just has an older feel. It features j cole.

Erwin 𐚁

We gotta get you to watch the “Dance For You” video!!!!

Erwin 𐚁

The song you didn’t recognize was “Schoolin Life”. It’s a bonus track from “4”.

Monet Floyd

Yeah you meant to do life is but a dream. It’s my first documentary I saw of hers when I was about 11. Definitely inspired me growing up.

Tiara Edwards

A lot of the songs are from her album '4'. and party is hers not a cover lol. She released what people called an 'old school' album when pop music was mainly edm at the time. its genuinely such a fun album from start to finish

Malik

Fun fact: a fan did actually pull her off stage in Brazil. She handled it with grace of course and told security to stay calm because they were going to grab him up and throw him out, asked the guy his name and let him stay. But I also think that’s why she stopped being sooo close bc she didn’t want that to happen again

Carla Johnson

Yeah this was top notch. Cant believe I’ve never seen it before in its entirety.

Valencia

Most of the songs were from the album 4 and let me tell you, that album was my whole life when it came out! Literally listened to it for a year straight! To the point where people brought me Beyonce items for my bday lol but what’s crazy is I have most of the DVDs that have the documentary connected to it so a lot of these shows I’ve never seen. I’m glad I got to watch this for the first time with you! ❤️

Valencia

You’re the GOAT Mary-Anne! Thank you for this!

Erwin 𐚁

She covered “I Will Always Love You” to tribute Whitney Houston - her passing had occurred a few months prior to the recording of the show. She continued to do the tribute throughout the Mrs. Carter Tour.

Erwin 𐚁

I wish she’d release the entire concert. Songs there were excluded: I Miss You, Resentment, If I Were a Boy / Ex-Factor, Irreplaceable, Countdown, Jumpin’ Jumpin’, and Why Don’t You Love Me.

John

Yes… it was the “Mrs Carter Show” Tour in Brazil. And after that she stopped doing Arena Shows and did Stadiums only so she literally and physically couldn’t be as close to the fans

dani

can’t wait for u to react to life is but a dream!

Antoinette

I knew why don’t you love me was a part of this set. I’ve never seen the whole concert so I was confused on why I wasn’t added 😭

Matt

Beyonce and Ariana in the same day?? You are keeping us fed lmao

ñutzOnReverb

I completely understand what you said at the end but the thing is she completely stopped promoting herself and radio wasn't playing her as much. Now obviously she broke multiple records and all her albums went number 1, infact her self titled sold 600k in 3 days but she went completely private and only spoke through music, no interviews no nothing. And all her music was sonically not mainstream anymore, like when edm was popular she did Old-school RnB and you heard how versatile Lemonade was so yeah hope this explains it.

Tanyia✨️

This performance will always get me because like how? 5 months post-baby. It messes me up every time but there is a BTS to this concert that you might want to check out at some point. It's only 10 minutes so I wouldn't say it needs its own video but it's interesting if you like to see the BTS stuff. Part 1: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=myy8nYB4ikI Part 2: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cZyCPpvQ0Jo Also, her ring is said to cost about 5 million dollars which is why she doesn't wear it often on stage.

Matt

The music video with the colored eyeliner is for the song Countdown!! One of my favorite videos!

Rigo

You were totally off about the song Party. It’s her song and she was bringing the same vocal versatility that you praised her for in Naughty Girl. She’s so good at switching things up!

ReRe

I love the discussion at the end! Beyoncé is notorious for not promoting her music. She slowly transitioned into the streaming era, not allowing platforms like Spotify to host her music. Her bravery to release music the way she wants to is re-shaping the industry.

m

You are right about how dangerous it is for her to get close to the crowd, she definently does not do that anymore, their was this time where a fan pulled her completely off stage she looked so scared😭

Dana (Dah-Nah)

the album version features André 3000, which is the voice you can hear here

m

also, those guys who look familiar are the Les Twins, Larry, and Laurent. they are Beyonce's backup boys, and you have seen them in almost all your Beyonce reactions 🤣

Erwin 𐚁

Yes!!!!! Mary-Anne is the best!!!

ñutzOnReverb

Can you tell her to react to Black is King next please 🥺

fry

i care is such a good song i always feel something when listening to it live or studio like woah

fry

“changed the game with that digital drop”

I Am Not Chamari

The voice at the end of the Party performance is Kanye West. He’s on the original song too, which is on Beyoncé’s 4 album.

Malik

AOL SESSIONS

JLeo Galarreta

I know!! She never disappoints!! She really gives her all in very performance!!!

Ayana Jah

Adding here just for clarification - Kanye provides the "You a bad girl, and your friends bad too" portion of the song. The album version has the Andre 3000 feature, while the music video has the J Cole feat.

Nadia

Yesss please do this. All about the vocals!

Bey Brown

Beyonce's song Party isn't a cover it samples La di da di by Doug E Fresh and MC Ricky D. Rappers from the 80s. Famous line from the song "La di da di, we like to party" You hit the nail on the head! Once she hit a certain point in her career she stopped caring about numbers, ratings, awards and continued doing what she loved with or without everyone's approval. You Either was on board or got left behind. Starting with the first surprise album drop Self titled. Its like if you know, you know.

Bey Brown

Beyonce loves her people. When they work for/with her they stay for a long time. Her Background singers "The Mamas" and the all female band was with her from 2007 through 2019 ish. Background dancers like Ashley Everett danced with her 17 years. Only recently ventured off to do different things. Les twins, her "first twins" danced with her since 2011. Etc etc... Her circle is tight. Im surprised you're just now realizing you're seeing familiar faces lol.
