COCO (2017)

Eternal Sunshine and Coco reactions in the same day?! I feel spoilt!😄😅

I love Coco!!! The animation is stunning 😍 The actor who voices Miguel's dad is in Jane the Virgin. If you've never seen it, I think you'd love it 🩷

Don't apologize for crying Audrey, I honestly felt the exact same way when watching your reaction. I lost my sweet doggy Rose back in August. Over 6 months later and it still hurts as much today as it did the day I lost her. She was most definitely my "soul dog", every time I wasn't feeling good neither was she. She missed me the same amount if I was gone for 5 minutes or 5 days (which was the longest I had ever been away from her before she passed). I currently have no children, but for 14 amazing years she was my baby. Not having her around is like missing a piece of me, but I believe that Rose is still looking out for me, just like you think WaWa (sorry if I misspelled) is looking out for you. Thank you for sharing your story of her. <3

Oh, Audrey 🩷 This movie makes me cry every time too. I'm glad it was cathartic for you. I can't imagine losing my fur babies 🐈🐈🐈‍⬛️

Thank you for sharing with us! I get it, it's coming up on 4 years since I had to say goodbye to my dog and it still makes me cry. For the offrenda I always set his up on the day for kids but there is a designated day for animals if you are still intrested! It is a couple days before the kids (thats October 31st) but I always set my boys up on the 31st and leave it up until we take down the adults one. I have a little set up with all his stuff that stays up year round and i have at least one dried out cempasúchil from each year (I'm using his old kong as a flower vase 😂). I don't have suggestions for Spanish vocal songs (my spanish music knowledge is largely limited to songs I listened to as kid) but the Spanish versions of these songs are wonderful if you ever want to check them out 😊.

Such an amazing film! Makes me cry every time and not just at the ending! One of Pixar's best films!

Madeline Jensen

Fun fact the person who voiced the arrival guard (the one whose jaw literally dropped), is also a playwright. His name is Octavio Solis. In one of my classes I was taking for school (a theater class), we were reading one of his plays, Lydia, and my professor was able to get him to come and talk to the class about the play and told us a bit about himself too.

Awww Audrey please never apologise for crying and know that we’re crying with you 😭 I love everything about this movie. This was my second time watching it and I cried as hard as the first time 🥹 I believe it's true that those we love never truly leave us; they continue to guide and watch over us, much like spirit animals ♥️ Thank you Chris for giving us the opportunity to experience this beautiful movie with Audrey!

Don’t ever apologize for showing emotion! If you attached to a film for whatever reason, it was meant to be! I’d love to see Danny react and see what he thinks! Just curious as to when you actually filmed this? Based on context clues, it was a few months ago. Lastly, I love when a plot twist comes and Audrey goes “oh f you” to us the audience. My fave was in her once upon a time reaction to finding out about Neal 🤣 Again, never apologize for showing emotion ❤️❤️

Zach Davis

Also, Audrey seems to remember animal names easier than human names lol

“Proud Corazón” - the final song in the film - is the song my husband and I danced to at our wedding. 🖤 Thank you Chris for this request. I lost my baby girl Broadway 6 months ago and it hasn’t been easy. I too believe she is my spirit animal who will always live on in my heart.

When I worked in childcare we had a little girl who just moved here in the states from Mexico, she didn't speak a word of English and she was visibly nervous being in a new environment. So we played this movie (in Spanish) and it seemed to calm her down a little bit. I always think of that moment when I see this movie haha

Coco gets me EVERY TIME! For me this movie just make me think about my grandparents. I do know that they’re still with me guiding me and protecting me. About the songs in Spanish there’s a lot you could listen to. Not only Mexican but Latino in general. You could definitely start with one that is on the movie “La Llorona” which is a traditional song. But there’s many many options of songs. Thanks to Chris who requested this and never feel bad for crying Audrey we’re right here crying with you too

Lauryn Shealy

I was crying right there with you at the end!! Thank you for never being afraid to show your vulnerability :) it means more to me than you know ❤️☺️

Coco always makes me cry every time I watch it. I'm glad you got to experience it.

This movie messes me up. It’s absolutely amazing but I just can’t watch it without crying. My grandma has dementia and it just makes me think of her. One day, she’s gonna be like Coco and that is just heartbreaking. My sister and I have “ofrenda’s” for our family members. They aren’t much cause we aren’t part of that culture- but we grew up around it in New Mexico. But I have a picture of my great grandpa and his second wife. I’m hoping for us to make an actual ofrenda in our home this year, putting more pictures of family up. But, this movie really hits me for so so many reasons.

SongsFromASuitcase

Yes it was a few months ago. I was ruined for the next two days from crying so much… but it was also healing for me

Zach Davis

Crying is often therapeutic ❤️❤️

That was a great movie and great to share with you! I lost my two Chihuahuas a couple of years ago and understand the spirit animal sentiment, too. You should listen to the Linda Ronstadt's album "Canciones de Mi Padre". It is a Mexican traditional Mariachi music album... and her voice is like heaven.

Gustavo Rojo-Buendia

This movie always makes me cry, guaranteed. I remember all my family members that moved on. My maternal grandmother's sister and my paternal grandmother had dementia.

Super late comment lol, but I was super busy the past few weeks and just now got to watch your reaction I SO love this movie, it's in my Top 5 Disney movies And it never fails to make me cry, no matter how many times I watched it A lil fun fact, or something I picked up on on my third watch: When Ernesto was about to give Miguel his blessing, the pedal didn't glow. Whenever the actual family is about to, as soon as they say "I'll give you my blessing..." it starts to glow but not so with Ernesto So that already was a little foreshadowing to the plot twist! :)

First of all… big hugs for you Audrey, and yeah… there’s no doubt that guagua it’s your spitrit animal. Now, about some female ballads… one of it’s definitely “Llorona” (which was played during the movie). I would also recommend some Amanda Miguel, Ana Gabriel and obviously Rocio Durcal (“the most mexican spaniard”). And if we are talking about new females voices, give it a try to Natalia Lafourdade, Mon Laferte, Yuridia, Paty Cantú, Julieta Venegas, Ximena Sariñana, María José, Elsa y el Mar, Vanessa Zamora, Ruzzi, Ana Victoria… and much much more (not all of the are mexican, but the style it’s very latin american classic). Also and not related… You should check out “Latinoamerica” by “Calle 13” (great message and amazing female voices) and also “This is not America” by “Residente” both powerful songs with great female voices complementing the main voice and a strong social critique

Hello! It seems im a little late to the party, im sorry to hear about your chihuahua. I know what's it like, i lost mine close to 10 years ago in a hit and run. Being from a mexican family we have him and his little collar on our ofrenda every year. Idk if you'll see this so I'll post this on the youtube video just in case. For strong female vocals, there was a grammys performance a few years back, three generations of female mexican singers singing La Llorona, which you heard in this movie. Three of the biggest names in mexican music with very different styles, I highly suggest reacting to it. Angela Aguilar, Natalia Lafourcade, and Aida Cuevas. Wonderful video regardless, I hope the pain of your loss fades but your memories dont. Have a wonderful day.

Tiffany Torres

I'm sobbing ,I did it to myself tho, by watching it today (April 18th), since its been 15 years since my grandma passed... going back to you asking about other mexican/spanish singers i see a lot of good artist in the comments above but there is one tho that i havent seen written down (or maybe i missed it). That would be Selena Quintanilla. she was a great Mexican-Amercian, Tejano singer. She has some amazing songs and ballad songs. shes a real legend, especially in most of Texas which is where shes from. Even though she died at a young age (you can look up her story or see the movie about her) she is still loved and talked about to this day in Texas. i hope to see if you listen and maybe even like her songs

Mariel C

Audrey for the songs in spanish, we have some iconic songs in Mexico, the must beautiful one is Amor Eterno by Rocio Durcal, Asì Fue by Isabel Pantoja, Acariciame by LupitaD´Alessio, Como tu Mujer by Rocio Durcal, these are some of the must iconic mexican ballads, I hope you like them

I love watching these videos! I'm SUCH a crier. I was literally crying nonstop from the scene in the sinkhole to the end. Ooohhh my heart! I lost two pets in the past two years and I made a personal little ofrenda for them because they were so dear to me. I hope you put up that little statue 😭❤️
