Riiiiiiibbiiit............ Ribbit, Ribbit, Ribbit!

Since apparently April is National Frog Month, and I'm kinda on an animal clicker kick right now, I thought it was only fitting that our next release be these adorable Croaking Clickers! I played with a few different eyes and faces and have included them all here for you! I hope you enjoy! 🐸

Like most of my designs, this is a clicky design that requires a mechanical keyboard switch to make the clicky part. These models have been tested with both the Kailh Bronze and Kailh White clickers but the White clickers are much nicer in my opinion. This design should be compatible with most MX style keyboard switches, however, the two metal contacts on the bottom of the switch must be clipped off flush (or folded over) to ensure the switch seats properly in the base (this is a destructive process). A 7mm keyring file is included as well as a larger, 3.5mm diameter keyring hole to allow a beaded chain to be used!

This pack contains 4 fantastic frogy faces and 1 clicker base for a total of 4 designs! An open mouth, closed mouth, cute open mouth and closed open mouth. The base is provided with the standard keychain configurations, none, 7mm and 3.5 diameter keyring.

(all caps are saved as .3mf only)

3D Printing Settings:

Layer Height: 0.2mm (recommended)

External Perimeter: 0.33mm

Scale: 100% (Everything is modeled with tight tolerances and should not need to be resized)

NOTE: I've found the best way to get the most crisp details on the faces is to start with the smallest details first and work up from there. Here is the order I recommend after LOTS of trial and error:

Red (tongue)

White (Eyes)

Black (Pupils/mouth/nose)

Everything else (face colors)

I've also found hitting the print with a heat gun right before the main body color starts printing will eliminate any little strings that can cause blemishes on the final design.

⚠️WARNING⚠️ - This pack requires very good bed adhesion to ensure the best possible results for your finished clicker. It is recommended to clean your bed with soap and water before printing or whatever your specific printer manufacturer recommends for a deep bed clean!

I only have 6 days until the fair, I just finished the mushrooms 🤣 well time for another relentless printing spree

LuckySpoon

Love these! And the stop-motion leapfrog is great 🤣

Wait, are the faces supposed to be printing face down?🤔

Pawpular Prints

Yes! Anything with a flat face prints better face down! It can be printed up, but the details don't tend to print as well!

Allen Smith

Very cute, I need to do some as I always have people looking for frog items!

LuckySpoon

I didn't read your print tips before. I just print them with the faces up, no supports, and turn on iron and they come out great! Definitely need good bed adhesion but I suppose you could use a brim, too.

LuckySpoon

I know I'm replying kinda late here but I thought I could offer some advice. I've printed nearly all their designs and I prefer printing face up. I don't like the look of the textured pei sheet imprinted on the faces. I just turn on "iron" and set to "topmost surfaces" and they turn out great! I imagine having good calibration for flow rates and bridges plays a part and you definitely need good bed adhesion or a brim for the nub the button sticks to. I might also use Arachne wall generator specifically for that nub. I never use a brim, but that and everything else I said here, well... YMMV

Hi I'm a total newbie to 3D printing and a new member as well. Your color choices for filaments are amazing. I am not sure if it's just awesome photography or the filament choices or both. Either way, would you care to share the specific filaments used here? I am sure a lot of newbies like me would appreciate information like this. Thank you so much and looking forward to printing your awesome designs

Pawpular Prints

Hi Jennifer! That's pretty much what they look like color wise! I don't know the exact ones off the top of my head but most of them are CookieCad Elixirs! I'll see if I can figure out the exact ones and update this post

Jennifer White

Hi. Thank you for the quick response. Will start looking for CookieCad filaments. All your clickers look awesome. Can’t wait to find the filament colors you use. You’re truly an artist. Thank you for sharing your talent to us.
