Today's release is yet another request! Initially, I was a little torn on this one. As someone who works in manufacturing and who is walking by Emergency stop buttons on a daily basis, I wasn't initially sold on the idea of creating a design that reminded me of my pesky full time job... BUUUUTTTT I also loved the idea of having a Big Red Button that I was actually allowed to hit!! I am really happy with how these turned out and something about them just makes it so hard not to hit the button! πŸš§πŸ”΄πŸš§

Like most of my designs, this is a clicky design that requires a mechanical keyboard switch to make the clicky part. These models have been tested with Kailh Bronze, White, Jade and White V2 clickers and the White clickers are my preferred option. I have an up to date list of verified clickers with links you can find HERE. This design should be compatible with most MX style keyboard switches, however, the two metal contacts on the bottom of the switch must be clipped off flush (or folded over) to ensure the switch seats properly in the base (this is a destructive process). A 7mm keyring file is included as well as a larger, 3.5mm diameter keyring hole to allow a beaded chain to be used!

This pack contains three different striped bases and six different cap options! The bases come in vertical stripes, diagonal stripes and a nice old fashioned blank base that you can color however you like! The caps have six different phrases, alarm, alert, oh $#!&, panic, stop and a blank cap. The bases are provided with the none and 3.5 diameter keyring.

3D Printing Settings:

Layer Height: 0.2mm (recommended)

External Perimeter (Outer Wall): 0.33mm (recommended)

Scale: 100% (Everything is modeled with tight tolerances and should not need to be resized)

Orientation: Print the caps face down so you have a smooth surface for clicking! (recommended for flat)

NOTE: I've found the best way to get the most crisp details on these clickers is to start with the smallest details first and work up from there. Here is the order I recommend after LOTS of trial and error:

Black (text)

Red (button)

I've also found hitting the print with a heat gun right before the main body color starts printing will eliminate any little strings that can cause blemishes on the final design.

⚠️WARNING⚠️ - This pack requires very good bed adhesion to ensure the best possible results for your finished clicker. It is recommended to clean your bed with soap and water before printing or whatever your specific printer manufacturer recommends for a deep bed clean!

Uuuuugh! I want to make one so bad but I have to wait on a part for my printer. 😭

Catbeastaisha

Filament got jammed in the extruder. πŸ˜” I managed to unclog the jam but, in the process, accidentally ripped the ribbon that connects the sensor. And, of course, Bambu is out of stock on the sensor until June 1st so I bought another extruder to get it sooner (3-4 days) and, when the sensor (with the ribbon I need) is in, I'll put this one back together. Learning experience! Got to love when they affect the wallet, though. :P

Pawpular Prints

Oof! That’s not so fun…. Hopefully you get the part soon so you can get it fixed!

Catbeastaisha

Yes! I'm already having withdrawal! 😭 (🀣🀣🀣)

Can a bigger one be made that takes say 4 switches so the button is bigger? :D

Pawpular Prints

Do you mean like splitting the circle into 4 slices, each an individual clicker? Or a clicker with 4 circles on it in a 2x2 grid?

Steven Ellis

I mean a single circle button but space for 4 switches under it to make it a bigger button

Steven Ellis

Yasssss One big ol red button ;)

Bourne3D

damn will you be bringing these back? this is awesome

Pawpular Prints

Hmmmm. Thank you! I haven’t actually thought much about bringing back older designs, so probably not anytime soon. All archived designs are available for purchase on mmf though with a 20% subscriber discount code!

Bourne3D

ooh will check them out then thanks! still new to patreon so learning how all this works xD

Sabrina Accardi Cruz

I purchased this from mmf but the caps are not loading correctly. Any tips?

Pawpular Prints

Hi Sabrina, Make sure you are opening the files and answering the pop-up questions correctly. The first question is usually something about resizing from mm to inches, click 'NO'. The second is usually if you want to import it as a single object, click 'YES'.

Pawpular Prints

No, this has been archived and has to be purchased separately. But we currently have a Back To School sale on all archived models!
