Hi friends! It's me for the second day in a row! I'll be on vacation for a long weekend and instead of waiting until I return for the next release, I thought I'd just do releases for 2 days in a row! Hope you like and have a great long weekend too!

When I started making emojis, I knew eventually there would come a time where I needed to venture beyond faces... With that venturing, the Taboo Trio was born! I'm not one to shy away from who I am and what makes me happy, sooooo I'm hoping others will find as much amusement in the Taboo Trio as I already have! ๐Ÿ˜ˆ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ†

Like most of my designs, this is a clicky design that requires a mechanical keyboard switch to make the clicky part. These models have been tested with both the Kailh Bronze and Kailh White clickers but the White clickers are much nicer in my opinion. This design should be compatible with most MX style keyboard switches, however, the two metal contacts on the bottom of the switch must be clipped off flush (or folded over) to ensure the switch seats properly in the base (this is a destructive process). A 7mm keyring file is included as well as a larger, 3.5mm diameter keyring hole to allow a beaded chain to be used!

This pack contains three taboo emojis. Each emoji has one base and one cap. Each base is provided with the standard keychain configurations, none, 7mm and 3.5 diameter keyring. The Peach and Eggplant have an Extra White configuration for the caps to make sure those colors really pop!

(all caps are saved as .3mf only)

3D Printing Settings:

Layer Height: 0.2mm (recommended)

External Perimeter (Outer Wall): 0.33mm (recommended)

Scale: 100% (Everything is modeled with tight tolerances and should not need to be resized)

Orientation: Print the caps face down so you have a smooth surface for clicking! (recommended for flat)

NOTE: I've found the best way to get the most crisp details on these clickers is to start with the smallest details first and work up from there. Here is the order I recommend after LOTS of trial and error:

White (pupils)

Black (eyes/mouth)

Purple (horns)

Green (leaves)

Orange (highlight)

Everything else (base colors)

I've also found hitting the print with a heat gun right before the main body color starts printing will eliminate any little strings that can cause blemishes on the final design.

โš ๏ธWARNINGโš ๏ธ - This pack requires very good bed adhesion to ensure the best possible results for your finished clicker. It is recommended to clean your bed with soap and water before printing or whatever your specific printer manufacturer recommends for a deep bed clean!

Stay Pawsitive! ๐Ÿพ

Going to have a huge printing backlog waiting for when my printer's back up and running. Can't wait to do these ones, too!

Alina

Love these!!!

Catbeastaisha

My printer lives again! Time to put it to work. :D

What base color did you use the horned emoji & the horns?

Pawpular Prints

Both filaments were cookiecad! The base was Pixie Dust and the horns were Witches Blue! Cookiecad has become one of my go-tos because sparkly is my thing!

MyDesignCrate

Woot! Thatโ€™s what I guessed! Except Iโ€™m going to try Flashforgeโ€™s Purple Nebula instead of the Witches Brew (but very similar color).

MyDesignCrate

Did you happen to use a sparkly peach color for the peach? I couldnโ€™t find one. I used Polymakerโ€™s PolyTerra line in Matte Pastel Peach, Matte Orange for the contour line & Matte Green for the leaves. And it came out excellent. But I would definitely reprint if I could find a sparkly/chameleon peach color.

Pawpular Prints

CookieCad has a real nice Pale Pink Elxier that might look good on the peach! I think for my photos, I just used a polyterra so nothing too fancy

Amanda Brown

the devil cap isnt loading correctly. its a giant shape. definitely not the normal cap.

Pawpular Prints

Hi Amanda! There are typically 2 pop-ups you'll see when opening a Pawpular Print file! The first one usually is asking if the model needs to be resized from mm to inches because the slicer thinks part of the model is too small. Some of the models have very small details that trigger this warning, be sure to click "NOโ€ on this pop-up to import correctly! If you click yes, this will enlarge the file! The second one usually is asking if the model needs to be imported as a single part, or multiple parts, (see image below). All the small details are actually separate bodies to make painting easier so you want everything to come in as a single part. Be sure to clicke "YES" on this pop-up to import correctly!
