I'm back with another release! Dinosaurs have always been a hit amongst both children and adults, so it was a given from the get go that dinosaur themed clickers would be an absolute must. I've had some dinosaur ideas from the beginning, but perfecting those has proven to be easier said than done). However, in the mean time, while my design repertoire continues to grow, I thought some cute fossil footprints could be a good first step into the Jurassic period. I may be a little biased, but I really love how these footprints turned out (especially when raised)! There are five dinosaur footprint fossils in this pack: A Tyrannosaurus Rex, Stegosaurus, Triceratops, Velociraptor, and Brachiosaurus! I hope you like my clicky fossil and that I've done these foot prints justice! 👣

Like most of my designs, this is a clicky design that requires a mechanical keyboard switch to make the clicky part. These models have been tested with both the Kailh Bronze and Kailh White clickers but the White clickers are much nicer in my opinion. This design should be compatible with most MX style keyboard switches, however, the two metal contacts on the bottom of the switch must be clipped off flush (or folded over) to ensure the switch seats properly in the base (this is a destructive process). A 7mm keyring file is included as well as a larger, 3.5mm diameter keyring hole to allow a beaded chain to be used!

This pack contains 5 different clicker caps! One for T-Rex, Brachiosaurus, Velociraptor, Stegosaurus, and Triceratops! These 5 caps come in both a raised and flat configuration.

3D Printing Settings:

Layer Height: 0.2mm (recommended)

External Perimeter (Outer Wall): 0.33mm (recommended)

Scale: 100% (Everything is modeled with tight tolerances and should not need to be resized)

Orientation: Print the caps face down so you have a smooth surface for clicking! (recommended for flat)

NOTE (flat clickers only): I've found the best way to get the most crisp details on these clickers is to start with the smallest details first and work up from there. Here is the order I recommend after LOTS of trial and error:

Footprint (tan/bone)

Base color (stone)

I've also found hitting the print with a heat gun right before the main body color starts printing will eliminate any little strings that can cause blemishes on the final design.

⚠️WARNING⚠️ - This pack requires very good bed adhesion to ensure the best possible results for your finished clicker. It is recommended to clean your bed with soap and water before printing or whatever your specific printer manufacturer recommends for a deep bed clean!

Stay Pawsitive! 🐾

Wow! You are fast, lol. I just mentioned dinosaurs a little earlier today and here we go! 🤣

I printed the fossils and they were fairly well received although one of my more dinosaur obsessed friends thinks the T-Rex one shouldn't have a back toe, lol. He did really like the velociraptor one, though! :)

Pawpular Prints

Haha! I’m glad they were well received! I 100% just googled dinosaur footprints and picked the ones I knew and thought looked fun to design. Glad he liked the velociraptor and maybe I’ll have to revisit the t-rex and add another option at some point!

I think it's just because he's such a big dinosaur fan he noticed, lol. They turned out awesome and I even bought a marble gray for the base/ stone part. Was thinking to do some of the footprints glow in the dark as well (I get a little bit glow in the dark happy, lol). I can see a lot of people enjoying them. 💕

I feel like I am doing something wrong. I was able to print the snow flake ones (raised) with two colors just fine but when i open up any of the dino prints raised, it keeps at it one color... how can I adjust this? I tried to do paint - fill but it changed the whole cap the new color, not just the actual print. Hope you can assist :) Thanks!

Pawpular Prints

Hi Kelly! There should be a slider on the fill tool that says something like "Fill Angle". Try reducing that number and clicclicking only the raised part of the dino tracks. You might have to play with that number until it only selects the area you want colored! Hope this helps!
