Hi Again! Continuing on the Halloween trend, we have another fun and colorful release today: Candy Corn Craze. I had actually just started learning to design last year around this time and had designed a three-clicker candy corn that I had initially planned to use in this pack... I opened it, and I was unimpressed! It looked like a candy corn, but didn't include any of the design techniques I have learned that allow me provide the variety of creative options that I so enjoy designing, in a quality that my OCD accepts!

So, starting from scratch, I redesigned my 3-clicker candy corn and it was actually Nick's idea to do white ghost faces, and orange pumpkin faces. I have to admit, sometimes Nick has some really good ideas... but don't tell him that! 🤫 The yellow 'Boo' just seemed to fit the theme. The single clicker candy corns are where I knew I didn't just want to do a candy corn with a handful of faces so thought it could be fun to add a little extra Halloween spirit creating candy corns in a cat, bat, and with a hat form! This pack got quite large but I hope you have fun mixing and matching, creating some adorable clicky candy corns! I know I haven't even begun to explore all the possibilities with these! 🍬🌽

Like most of my designs, this is a clicky design that requires a mechanical keyboard switch to make the clicky part. These models have been tested with Kailh Bronze, White, Jade and White V2 clickers and the White clickers are my preferred option. I have an up to date list of verified clickers with links you can find HERE. This design should be compatible with most MX style keyboard switches, however, the two metal contacts on the bottom of the switch must be clipped off flush (or folded over) to ensure the switch seats properly in the base (this is a destructive process).  A 7mm keyring file is included as well as a larger, 3.5mm diameter keyring hole to allow a beaded chain to be used!

There are 4 unique single clicker bases in this pack each with 11 unique faces for a total of 44 unique clickers single clicker options! Additionally, there is 1 unique 3-clicker base with 3 unique bottom caps, 6 unique middle caps, and 5 unique top cap options which can be mixed and matched for a total of 90 possible combinations! Each base comes in the standard 7mm, 3.5mm diameter and blank keychain configuration.

3D Printing Settings:

Layer Height: 0.2mm (recommended)

External Perimeter (Outer Wall): 0.33mm (recommended)

Scale: 100% (Everything is modeled with tight tolerances and should not need to be resized)

Orientation: Print the caps face down so you have a smooth surface for clicking! (recommended for flat)

NOTE: I've found the best way to get the most crisp details on these clickers is to start with the smallest details first and work up from there. Here is the order I recommend after LOTS of trial and error:

Small Detail (Eyes, Mouth, Tongue)

Larger details (Text)

Everything else (Base Colors)

I've also found hitting the print with a heat gun right before the main body color starts printing will eliminate any little strings that can cause blemishes on the final design.

⚠️WARNING⚠️ - This pack requires very good bed adhesion to ensure the best possible results for your finished clicker. It is recommended to clean your bed with soap and water before printing or whatever your specific printer manufacturer recommends for a deep bed clean!

Stay Pawsitive! 🐾

Does the rainbow with clouds have the bigger hole size ? The one I printed nothing fits in the holes

Pawpular Prints

Yep! The 3x clicker rainbow cloud has a 7mm and 3.5mmDia option for bases just like most everything else. The 3.5mmDia one is the larger one for bead chains!

Found it 😊

Can I ask what you mean by start with the smaller details first?

Pawpular Prints

If you can change the order the colors print, it tends to print crisper. So on a prusa the order the colors are loaded is the order they print. And in the bambu slicer you can actually change order the colors print. What slicer are you using?

CiJi Hurley

Thanks. I already started a plate so I’ll do this next time for sure.

Any tips on how to get the candy corns to print multi colored? I am terrible at getting the color “painted” in my slicing program myself and these didn’t come with colors pre done like other multi color clicker prints were. I have the any cubic slicer

Pawpular Prints

Hi Staci, these should come precolored! Wonder what is happening that they don’t? If able can you join our discord or email us so we can figure our what is happening. Discord link can be found in our announcements!

Staci

What is your email? I haven’t figured out how to use discord yet

Hi Josh! We print with a Prusa XL which has 5 colors. Not sure where you're getting 6 from on the candy corns but we did do 6 colors on the Cinco de Mayo skulls and that was done on a PPrusa MK4 and manually changing the filament.
