Hi everyone! Today's release is a fun one that we actually had a suggestion for as I was finishing up the designs! If you follow my Instagram, you may have seen a sneak peak of this pack last night where I had people guess what the new clicker was going to be. Most of the guesses were split between Gnomes, Elves, or Grinch but the best guess was a carrot πŸ₯•πŸ€£, which to be fair, is totally plausible! If you look closely at the post, there is actually a line of gnomes at the very top in the background and a little gnome peeking up behind the 'D' in Disclaimer in the green text.

At first when designing these, I was a little convinced they looked like a rocket ship - but seeing them printed, I really do think they make some pretty darn cute festive gnomes! That being said, if you choose to paint it like a rocket ship, I won't be offended! Anyhow, here are a few festive gnome clickers for you all! Some are Christmas themed, others could be generic enough to paint whatever colors your feeling for the season! Hope you like my clicky gnomie homies! πŸ§”πŸ₯•

Gnomie Homies Multi-Pack can be found HERE!

Like most of my designs, this is a clicky design that requires a mechanical keyboard switch to make the clicky part. These models feature a universal base design which has been tested with many keyboard switches and 99% of them work! I have an up to date list of verified clickers with links you can find HERE. This design should be compatible with most MX style keyboard switches, however, the two metal contacts on the bottom of the switch must be clipped off flush (or folded over) to ensure the switch seats properly in the base (this is a destructive process).  A 7mm keyring file is included as well as a larger, 3.5mm diameter keyring hole to allow a beaded chain to be used!

This pack contains 1 unique base shapes and 6 unique caps. Raised variants are offered where able. Each base comes in the standard 7mm, 3.5mm diameter and blank keychain configuration.

Photo Colors 🎨

Red - Hatchbox True Red PLA

Green - Elegoo Neon Green

Tan - Polymaker Cream

3D Printing Settings:

Layer Height: 0.2mm (recommended)

External Perimeter (Outer Wall): 0.33mm (recommended)

First Layer Extrusion Width (Initial Layer Line Width): 0.35mm (recommended)

Only one wall on first layer: True (recommended)

Scale: 100% (Everything is modeled with tight tolerances and should not need to be resized)

Orientation: Print the caps face down so you have a smooth surface for clicking! (recommended for flat)

NOTE: I've found the best way to get the most crisp details on these clickers is to start with the smallest details first and work up from there. Here is the order I recommend after LOTS of trial and error:

Small Detail (Eyes, Lights)

Medium Detail (Noses, Hands, Beards)

Everything Else (Base Colors)

I've also found hitting the print with a heat gun right before the main body color starts printing will eliminate any little strings that can cause blemishes on the final design.

⚠️WARNING⚠️ - This pack requires very good bed adhesion to ensure the best possible results for your finished clicker. It is recommended to clean your bed with soap and water before printing or whatever your specific printer manufacturer recommends for a deep bed clean!

Stay Pawsitive! 🐾

Do you use 2 ams to do this or how are you doing the 5 color ones?

Pawpular Prints

I have the Prusa XL that does 5 colors. I'm trying to get better printing things only in 4 colors but sometimes I forget! These should all look great in 4 colors as well

πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰ PERFECTION!!! That is all! ❀️❀️❀️

LuckySpoon

The one that has the black hat and shoes and the christmas lights, I gave him a white hat and red shoes.. Only 4 colors then and still came out great.

LuckySpoon

Can't believe I almost quit you. These things are so cute with the raised details!

Pawpular Prints

Glad we could change your mind! And so happy you like these! We know not everything will be for everyone, but do try to do enough variety over time that everyone can find something they love!

LuckySpoon

You do great! Truly. I just have so much and so little time πŸ˜…

Blake

It’s all good thank you for your response.

Blake

Sounds good I’ll have to try that.

LuckySpoon

Sorry, I had to look back at what I printed. It was white hat, red shoes with red and green bulbs. Also I did red hat, red shoes with all green bulbs. Hope that helps!

Marcia Guerrero

I had the same question. How can I remove the 5th color in Bambu Studio?

Pawpular Prints

You just change the 5th color to one of the 4 colors you want to keep! You can do that with the paint brush or you can just change the objects color in the Object/Part Settings window

Fusion3D

So cute Can you make a general version of the gnomes

Pawpular Prints

Hi Vengai! I'm glad you like the gnomes! What do you mean by a "general version"?

Catbeastaisha

Probably something like a non-holiday themed? I had that thought myself. Or, even, several holidays? I think gnomes can be pretty popular. ^^

MyDesignCrate

There is a plain gnome that you could change the colors to achieve the more general garden gnome.
