Hi everyone!

This release is one that has been requested a few times and was actually just requested yesterday!😅 This clicky snowman was a must and I am excited to share the final product! I wanted to do at least one variant with a dotted mouth to really look like the snowman you'd build outside as a kid, then had to add a few animated face options! I am really happy with how these turned out and hope you enjoy! ☃️⛄

Updates

11-22-24: Added another base option with a bucket on its head per special request!

11-23-24: Added all 3 base hat configurations without arms for easier printing.

Like most of my designs, this is a clicky design that requires a mechanical keyboard switch to make the clicky part. These models feature a universal base design which has been tested with many keyboard switches and 99% of them work! I have an up to date list of verified clickers with links you can find HERE. This design should be compatible with most MX style keyboard switches, however, the two metal contacts on the bottom of the switch must be clipped off flush (or folded over) to ensure the switch seats properly in the base (this is a destructive process).  A 7mm keyring file is included as well as a larger, 3.5mm diameter keyring hole to allow a beaded chain to be used!

This pack contains 7 unique base shapes and 4 unique caps. Raised variants are offered where able. Each base comes in the standard 7mm, 3.5mm diameter and blank keychain configuration. There was a BONUS base that was added per special request that features a bucket on top of the snowman's head.

Photo Colors 🎨

Red - Hatchbox True Red PLA

Green - Elegoo Neon Green

Brown - Overture PLA Professional Brown

Orange - Amolen Carrot Orange

3D Printing Settings:

Layer Height: 0.2mm (recommended)

External Perimeter (Outer Wall): 0.33mm (recommended)

First Layer Extrusion Width (Initial Layer Line Width): 0.35mm (recommended)

Only one wall on first layer: True (recommended)

Scale: 100% (Everything is modeled with tight tolerances and should not need to be resized)

Orientation: Print the caps face down so you have a smooth surface for clicking! (recommended for flat)

NOTE: I've found the best way to get the most crisp details on these clickers is to start with the smallest details first and work up from there. Here is the order I recommend after LOTS of trial and error:

Small Detail (Eyes, Nose, Mouth)

Medium Detail (Scarf, Buttons)

Everything Else (Base Colors)

I've also found hitting the print with a heat gun right before the main body color starts printing will eliminate any little strings that can cause blemishes on the final design.

⚠️WARNING⚠️ - This pack requires very good bed adhesion to ensure the best possible results for your finished clicker. It is recommended to clean your bed with soap and water before printing or whatever your specific printer manufacturer recommends for a deep bed clean!

Stay Pawsitive! 🐾

I need me some clicky snowmen!!!

Rebecca

So cute! Would love to see more clickers that have multiple clicks like the turtle and flower!

Pawpular Prints

And there are definitely going to be more! I have a couple ideas for multi-clicky Christmas still and a couple more generic clicker ideas that were in the works before all these holidays took over that have multi clicker variants!

Allie

These are sooo cute! I won't be able to make them in time for my market tomorrow :( Can we do Christmas in July next year? 🥺

Pawpular Prints

Haha! You know.. I am not all opposed to that! By next year I’m hoping to figure out this whole do holiday releases 3-4 months in advance thing though!

Pawpular Prints

🤣 psychic? It happens surprisingly often where we are getting ready to release something and someone requests it! But also I love it because it reinforces that we are creating what people want to see!

Sajoel Hauberg

This doesn’t fit the season but lady bugs would be adorable 🥺

Pawpular Prints

I 100% agree with you there! And we’re pretty close to the season of making whatever I want! Love this suggestion!

Lisa Mendez

I have so many ideas! what about santa, the classic red truck, reindeer

New member here. I tried to search, but was not successful. When you say using a heat gun on the first layer will help, can you explain how you are doing this? Just pause the printer and aim at the first layer? Even if using a cool plate on the Bambu? Thanks!

Pawpular Prints

Hi Sheramy! The heat gun trick is only necessary if you have stringing and if you're printing the flat caps face down. This can be mostly eliminated with dry filament but sometimes you might still see little strings on the faces between the colors. You can either do a pause or if you time it right, you can just hit it real quick while it's changing colors on the first layer. This isn't something you should have to worry about unless you start seeing that stringing I was talking about!
