Hiiiiii! I don't do a ton of early morning releases but I COULD NOT WAIT to share these, so here I am! This pack started out relatively simple and has evolved into one of my FAVORITE packs yet as we have explored adding some new variety to our clickers! This started as a simple clicky UFO and Rocket (in 2D and 3D variants), but now includes a spiny & clicky UFO, and a clicky Rocket with collapsible flame! I seriously spent hours playing with this rocket this weekend and can't decide if I like the clicky tip or collapsible flame more!

In addition, due to feedback on being more single color printer friendly, we also tried our hand at a print-in-piece buildable rocket! Assembly video to come! I am absolutely OBSESSED with this pack and hope to continue to add a few multi-fidget options as we continue this journey!! Hope you love this as much as I do! πŸ›ΈπŸ‘½πŸš€

Updates

02-25-25: Updated files to include the forgotten files for 2D UFO and Rocket caps! Sorry! πŸ˜¬

Space Explorers Mega-Pack can be found HERE!

Like most of my designs, this is a clicky design that requires a mechanical keyboard switch to make the clicky part. These models feature a universal base design which has been tested with many keyboard switches and 99% of them work! I have an up to date list of verified clickers with links you can find HERE. This design should be compatible with most MX style keyboard switches, however, the two metal contacts on the bottom of the switch must be clipped off flush (or folded over) to ensure the switch seats properly in the base (this is a destructive process).

This pack contains 7 unique base shapes and 13 caps. Raised variants are offered where able. The 2D files come in the standard 7mm, 3.5mm diameter and blank keychain configuration. The 3D files come in 3.5mm diameter keychains and blank. The build versions require super glue to assemble and an activator makes it pretty easy!

Photo Colors 🎨

UFO Black - Galaxy Matte Black

Blue - Overture Digital Blue PLA

Red - Overture Red

Yellow - Overture Light Yellow PLA

Green - Elegoo Neon Green

Black - Overture Black

3D Printing Settings:

Layer Height: 0.2mm (recommended)

External Perimeter (Outer Wall): 0.33mm (recommended)

First Layer Extrusion Width (Initial Layer Line Width): 0.35mm (recommended)

Only one wall on first layer: True (recommended)

Scale: 100% (Everything is modeled with tight tolerances and should not need to be resized)

Orientation: Print the caps face down so you have a smooth surface for clicking! (recommended for flat)

NOTE: I've found the best way to get the most crisp details on these clickers is to start with the smallest details first and work up from there. Here is the order I recommend after LOTS of trial and error:

Small Detail (Dots, Aliens)

Medium Detail (Accent Colors)

Everything Else (Base Colors)

I've also found hitting the print with a heat gun right before the main body color starts printing will eliminate any little strings that can cause blemishes on the final design (flat designs ONLY)

⚠️WARNING⚠️ - This pack requires very good bed adhesion to ensure the best possible results for your finished clicker. It is recommended to clean your bed with soap and water before printing or whatever your specific printer manufacturer recommends for a deep bed clean!

Stay Pawsitive! 🐾

Pawpular Prints

Haha thanks! I tried to keep the sneak peak subtle. I loved seeing the guesses!

Andrea Olenak

I love you took the time to make it a print in parts XOXO. Thank you, I can't wait to print some !!

Paul Palumbo

I can't wait to get these on the printer πŸ˜πŸ˜‰

Melissa C.

Amazing!! 😍😍😍

Pawpular Prints

Yea! I do really want to make some of these easier for single color printers but it’s tricky sometimes! If you have ideas to make assembly easier definitely let me know! Hoping to do more of this!

Pawpular Prints

Can’t wait to see your prints! So happy you like it!

LuckySpoon

A clicky spinner?! I can't wait to print these!

Laura @ Prism3D Creations

These are amazing! I was just looking through all of the files - I think the 2D caps file is missing from the zip folder?

Pawpular Prints

Oops.. 😞 Seems with all the files we forgot the 2D caps. Nick and I are both at our full time jobs but as soon as we get home we’ll fix the files and send out an update that they are fixed!

Greg Lamont

These look super cool! Thank you!! However I was about to start some printing but I think the 2D caps are missing from the zip file... could you double check I'm not going crazy... maybe they were abducted by aliens?? (edit) Just saw Laura's post too... at least I'm not going crazy!! lol All good. Get there when you can. It's 1am for me, so I really shouldn't be up printing clickers anyway!!

Jules Halbrooks

And here I sit with a broken hips! Dog gone it…

Pawpular Prints

Thank you for understanding! Hopefully before you wake up we’ll have some updates available for you!

katie

Is most of the prints universal for the clickers or does it have to be specific ones ?

Pawpular Prints

Oof oh no. Hope your hip heals quickly! These will be ready and waiting when you are!

Pawpular Prints

Thanks! I am a little too obsessed! I’m so glad you like them!

Pawpular Prints

The new base is universal will almost every clicker out there. I've only found 1 so far that didn't fit but trimming part of it made it fit. You can tell if a model has the new base by looking at the badge in the lower left corner of the splash image. I'm working on going through and updating all the old bases with the new design! Anything listed on the pinned Clicker Information post will work in both the old and new bases. Or just search for "Kailh Box White" on Amazon or Google!

katie

Thankyou for your reply so just me being dumb but the turtles and cupcake ones they need specific clickers for them like the ones you said above?

Pawpular Prints

Both the turtle and cupcake have been updated to the new base design! If you downloaded them before they were updated, you just need to re-download and you'll have the newest files with the universal base

Dawn

These are so cute! These are my first clickers ever to make, can’t wait to see how they turn out!

Pawpular Prints

Oooh Yayyy! These are great choice for first clickers! I hope you love them!

Larsco Creations

I love how they just don’t click. This is going to be so much fun to print. I seriously can wait to print.

Hungry Hungry Hippie

Is the cap for the 2D missing? I've printed the bases but I don't think the caps are here.

Pawpular Prints

Yea they were accidentally left out. I'll have them uploaded in a few hours!

Dawn

Should I be printing the UFOs with supports? They keep messing up and I don’t understand why 😞

Pawpular Prints

Hi Dawn! Can you either send a pic in our discord or to our email about what messing up looks like? You should not need supports for any of this pack!

Dawn

Of course. One minute!

ChimneyCreek

Can the collapsible flame be printed in three pieces and then assembled? Or should we leave it as one color and print all three together? Thanks!

Pawpular Prints

Unfortunately, the collapsible flame actually prints as a single piece so can't print each piece a different color. We had issues in early revisions with losing the small flame pieces inside the rocket if it collapsed before the larger flame so built it as a single piece to prevent that. You could change the color half way up the flame piece to create a cool effect though!?

Escrich

These are so cool, IΒ΄m a big fan of rockets!!!

Myst 3D

I did mine with a rim only and it comes out great! The issue is the caps! They do not fit onto the clicker and if they do the stem inside of the cap snaps off

PLAground Shop

Do you have a recommendation on what keychains would work best with the spaceship keychain version? Both of the ones we have on hand aren't looping in correctly.

Pawpular Prints

Hmmm.. Have you used the recommended settings for printing the caps? And have you noticed any variability in strength of that post between filaments?

ChimneyCreek

I hope you see this with such an old post! Is it possible to create a file that is the rocket and flame as one piece with the window pieces separate to print and glue in like the print-in-piece file? I have done the glue together version and while it is okay for my own kids, my teenager wants to print some to sell and I don't think the seam on the main body looks good enough for that. The windows look great glued in though, so combining the two options would be awesome to save on color changes. Thanks!

Pawpular Prints

Hi! There is a rocket body with the flames in it and you glue on the fins and the windows. Is that what you were thinking? or something else?

ChimneyCreek

I never got a notification of your reply. Sorry for taking so long to respond. I was picturing the body and fins as one piece with the flames in it. Then just the windows glue in. I think it would be "Rocket Ship- single color flame" but with the window pieces that can glue in.

ChimneyCreek

Just realized my son may have renamed the file on my laptop and the file I said may not be what it is actually called. Sorry for the confusion. Letting kids take over sometimes throws me all off.

ChimneyCreek

HI! I thought I would check one more time to see if there is a chance of an upgrade for what I may have very poorly described. What I was picturing is the body and fins one color/piece with the flames inside to print a second color. This way it stops color changes with done with the flame. Then the window pieces printed in two separate pieces like on the Build & Glue plate. That plate has a solid rocket with fins but not with the flame inside. Thanks!

Pawpular Prints

Can you send me an email at support@pawpularprints.com so we can talk more and maybe send test files?

Trevor Brandon

I got a handful of clickers in the mail and the rocket ship is by far my son's favorite one. He calls it his "bouncey rocket chips" and won't let go of them if his life depended on it. These are awesome little clickers! 🀩

Cakesnstufff

Hi - How can I separate the build version for the Rockets? I want to build them however the caps and bases are all grouped together and I can't separate them. Also what is activator in "The build versions require super glue to assemble and an activator makes it pretty easy!" ? Thanks!

Pawpular Prints

Hi! So when you import the build rocket, your slicer should have a "Split to Objects" button somewhere, usually near the top and that will make all those into individual files. For the Activator, there is something called super glue activator that makes super glue dry almost instantly. You can find that online pretty ease or in any local home improvement store. Hope this helps!
