🔒 Archived 05/01/25 - You can get this file from Cults3D or MyMiniFactory.-------------------------------------------Hi Everyone! This is another design that has been requested a handful of times and I knew eventually I really wanted to get to! My first attempt at designing a 3D Boba, it got a little bit big, so I ended up going back and creating a smaller version figuring I'd decide which to share once printed... I liked them both so much that I couldn't decide and figured I'd let you all choose for yourself! I also wanted to do a few 2D options for quick, easy Boba prints! There may even be a version of the 2D flat cap without the Boba bubbles that I thought could double as a coffee (at least until I get around to another coffee pack!) This pack was super fun to design and I am so happy with how it turned out! Hope you enjoy! 🥤⚫

Like most of my designs, this is a clicky design that requires a mechanical keyboard switch to make the clicky part. These models feature a universal base design which has been tested with many keyboard switches and 99% of them work! I have an up to date list of verified clickers with links you can find HERE. This design should be compatible with most MX style keyboard switches, however, the two metal contacts on the bottom of the switch must be clipped off flush (or folded over) to ensure the switch seats properly in the base (this is a destructive process).

This pack contains 9 unique base designs and 16 decorative caps. Raised variants are offered where able. Each 2D base and 3D mini Boba comes in the standard 7mm, 3.5mm diameter and blank keychain configuration. The larger Boba comes in a no keychain and larger (3.5mm diameter) keychain option.

Photo Colors 🎨

Purple - Polyterra Lavender Purple

Red/Pink - Polyterra PLA Watermelon

Yellow - Polyterra PLA Savannah Yellow

Light Green - Polyterra PLA Mint

3D Printing Settings:

Layer Height: 0.2mm (recommended)

External Perimeter (Outer Wall): 0.33mm (recommended)

First Layer Extrusion Width (Initial Layer Line Width): 0.35mm (recommended)

Only one wall on first layer: True (recommended)

Scale: 100% (Everything is modeled with tight tolerances and should not need to be resized)

Orientation: Print the caps face down so you have a smooth surface for clicking! (recommended for flat)

NOTE: I've found the best way to get the most crisp details on these clickers is to start with the smallest details first and work up from there. Here is the order I recommend after LOTS of trial and error:

Small Detail (Face, Boba)

Medium Detail (Dimples)

Everything Else (Base Colors)

I've also found hitting the print with a heat gun right before the main body color starts printing will eliminate any little strings that can cause blemishes on the final design (flat designs ONLY)

⚠️WARNING⚠️ - This pack requires very good bed adhesion to ensure the best possible results for your finished clicker. It is recommended to clean your bed with soap and water before printing or whatever your specific printer manufacturer recommends for a deep bed clean!

Stay Pawsitive! 🐾

Hello, I tried searching first, but I can’t find if there’s a specific type of keyboard clickers that you recommend

Can anyone point me in the direction of how to install the keychains? I’m having the most difficult time with this style, I have used the little ball chain style and they are too big. Ive mutilated the clicker attempting 4 different size jump rings…. My hands shake so I’m sure that is not helpful. Please, help! I don’t mean to be upsetting, I just need to understand how it works.

Pawpular Prints

Hi Lana! If you want to use the ball chains, there is a base with a larger hole that will accommodate the ball chains! If you want to use rings, the easiest method I've found is to stop the print just before the keychain hole closes up and manually placing that keyring into the print and then resuming. This requires no bending and no fuss! There are also lots of resources and videos on the Discord which is perfect for questions like this

Lana Spires

Thank you, but that platform is not an option for me.

I pause print to place a ring and then continue print.

:( I had surgery and was out for 2 months, I missed downloading all of march. :(( Where can I find them??

Pawpular Prints

Hey there Lizzy! Feel free to send us a direct message! All your previous files would be sent via the MyMinifactory Archives! If you don't have them, or are missing some, we can re-send whatever you need!

Danielle

Hello! I just downloaded this file from MyMiniFactory and I am looking for the medium yellow one with the boba on top. I don't believe it was included unless I am missing it. Please help! Thanks.

Pawpular Prints

The medium ones will be in the compiled mini bobas.3mf file!

Danielle

Thanks! I found it. I love them. I have been printing since yesterday! I'm disappointed that my rainbow isn't switching colors fast enough though.

Hi! I don't see any download link or files in the "Boba Blast MEGA-Pack" post. Could you please let me know where I can download the files? Thank you
