Hello Ken I saw the first two videos about under painting, solvent style and chalk putty style. I am French and I don't speak English, unfortunately Vimeo does not translate your videos (underpainting). This is very long for me to learn your painting. I watch your video, I extract the soundtrack with software but I have to be present, I translate with Google translate and I read the approximate result of Google translate for understand your video. Imagine that I am very old and want to learn painting before I die. What would you advise me to go for, solvent style or Chalk putty? Thanks for your help

Great workshop moving from graphite/charcoal to drawing in paint is a big jump but this process helps bridge it.

Ken, what do i do if my underpainting already dried and the next day i want to move the whole figure a bit because i didn;t place it well from start? since is dried seems difficult to move because i can t erase the old drawing anymore and move it as easy as when it was wet.

Hey Ken! I’m in Israel and it seems a lot easier to find raw shellac than the ready version. How can I prepare it myself? (Or maybe do you know where can I find one here? 😊) Thank you!!

Another question.. you write that any watercolor paper with shellac will be ok, it doesn’t have to be cotton?
