Would Transparent Base or Velasquez medium from Natural Pigments be the same thing as your chalk putty?

Luis R

Hello, Ken. I hope you are doing fine! I have 3 questions: 1) Is Imprimatura also Part of the underpainting? If so: 2) was it also made with this mixture of: (chalk + linseed oil + dark transparent pigment) instead of (solvent + dark pigment) 3) as this method makes pigment transparent, is it possible to put another different pigment onto the previous layer to make the painting have this transparent illusion that of Brand New Pigments?

Hi Ken. Can we use the chalk putty as a paste or impasto medium to create a very heavy texture ? For example in heavy textured abstract paintings ? Thank you ☺️
