Summary: You find yourself caught in a web of lies and treachery, forced to choose between your husband and first lover. One being a half-vampire and the other a vampire hunter. Was peace ever an option?

Disclaimer: Angsty AF but I am NOT GeGe

Chef Note: Yall ready for this? 🎶Disco party 💃🕺💃🕺🎶

Some things have changed from my slap ass recap but not by much. Toji is going to be a real dingus in the beginning too so fair warning he's more like his canon self and is a shit head but we put in work 💅. Gojo and Getou aren't perfect either. And neither are we so there are a lot of just people doing selfish things and hurting each other, because we are all human and have our flaws. So prepare for angst and make it double. The tunnel is a bit dark but I swear there's a light at the end so don't worry ill hold your hand and feed you delicious warm smut along the way 👩‍🍳🍜.

⚠️IMPORTANT!⚠️ If you know what's going to happen and read the slap ass recap DO NOT SPOIL IT FOR OTHERS. Some people don't like when a story is spoiled and they want to be surprised so please add a spoiler warning if you are going to say something that has yet to be included in the story. Be kind to each other, we may be in heat omegas but we aren't animals so keep it classy 💅. Any food fighting will not be tolerated. (You guys have been kind to each other so I thank you for being respectful 🖤)

Chapter 1

“Mommy?”

You opened your eyes, finding your five-year-old mini-me leaning on the side of your bed wearing her purple cartoon pajamas. Her hair color and skin matched your own, but she had a noticeable birthmark on the hand that held her stuffed rainbow color bunny.

You hummed sleepily, “Yes, sweetie?”

“I… I had a bad dream… can I sleep with you guys…?”

“Ooo~h of course you can.” You reached behind you as you patted the lump. “Suguru?”

The bed moved as tired brown eyes met your own, long black hair curtaining his face, “Mmm~?”

“Emi had a bad dream, can you scoot over?”

He yawned tiredly, “You had a bad dream?” Getou questioned as your daughter began to climb into bed.

She nodded in embarrassment. “Yeah…”

“What was it about?”

You lay down on your side with a light smile, your daughter explaining the dream she had as Getou gasped in shock and expressed exaggerated reactions making your daughter laugh.

You had a beautiful happy family, married for four years with Suguru Getou.

“…And then the thing took ahold of my face and an alien popped out of my belly!”

“Wait…” you cut in with a little raised brow. You and Getou shared a look before looking at the young girl with an accusing gaze. “Alien?”

“Did you watch that scary movie we told you not to watch?”

Caught red-handed Emi ducked her head, “Yes…but- Gumi said it wasn't scary!”

You took a deep breath shaking your head, “I told Megumi to not let you watch those types of movies you are too young.”

“I'll talk to him in the morning.”

“No… I should talk to him. You know how he can get... Around this time…”

“What does that mean?” Emi questioned.

“Nothing sweetie...”

“You want me to read you a bedtime story?”

“Yes! Yes! Can you read the one with the mouse and cookie that's my favorite!”

“Alright one story, and then you need to go to bed, you have school tomorrow.” Getou got up to retrieve the book while your daughter set up her bunny.

Climbing back into bed Getou flipped open the book, “Alright, If you give a mouse a cookie…”

…

It had been five years… five years since that day… They say time heals all, but you've come to find that was a load of crap.

It didn't take long for your daughter to start snoring, Getou didn't even make it to the fifth page. He closed the book with a chuckle, setting it on the nightstand. He placed a kiss on her forehead and then leaned over to kiss you on your lips. You kissed him back but your mind drifted during the passionate exchange. Something that your husband had sensed.

He gave you an almost cold look as he spoke his words of comfort, “Are you okay?”

You blinked at him with a forced smile, “Yeah I'm fine.”

He digested your words and appearance, gaze still upon you. “…Don’t think I don't notice how you get around this time too.”

You closed your eyes with a deep sigh, “Suguru can we not do this right now?”

“You still love him-”

“No.”

“After all these years-”

“Baby please…”

“He was a monster…”

“And you aren't? Just because Gojo covered for you doesn't mean your sins just- disappear.” you hissed.

Suguru’s eyes lowered into slits, “At least I didn't hold you hostage-”

The baby monitor on your nightstand crackled as a cry broke through the speaker.

You quickly got up, ready to leave this conversation, “Ciel calls for me.” You speak sharply, letting him know you are upset and done with the conversation.

Suguru said nothing else as you drifted toward your baby’s calling. The house was quiet in the night as you walked your halls like a phantom.

“Mama’s here…mama’s here.” You cooed when you entered the nursery. Picking up the small blue bundle. “Are you hungry? Hm?”

Ciel sniffles, his eyes the same color as his father's peeking at you with a coat of gloss. He made little noises of fuss as he kicked his little feet and waved his tiny fists.

“Don’t give me attitude little one~.” You giggle while sitting in your rocking chair. You began to breastfeed him as you pushed the chair slowly back and forth on the balls of your feet, humming a little lullaby. Your gaze shifted from your baby’s slowly blinking eyes to the full moon that peaked from the yellow curtains.

Guilt riddles your heart.

Suguru was right. You never did get over your first love. There was… a permanent ache within, that seemed to linger. Like a beautiful nasty scar.

You loved Getou, and always will but it will never be the same… your heart and soul are already tainted by another. If only you met him first… then you think you wouldn't have had this issue.

If only you could go back in time… so you'd never have met him.

Toji Fushiguro.

Dinnng Dooong

The bell chirped inside the classroom, sending the children into a clamorous uproar of uncontained excitement. A suitable reaction for the end of a school day.

"I can't wait to get home!"

"Are you coming to my house after school!?"

"I gotta show you my new bike I got on my birthday!"

"One two three all eyes on me!" You took hold of the chaos as you put a finger to your lips, signaling for everyone to be silent.

It took a few seconds for the chatter to simmer down, big sparkly orbs looking toward you.

You smiled softly once the children were hushed. "Alright, my busy bees, what needs to be signed by Friday?"

"Permission sliiiiip!"

"Yes! If you don't have a signature from a parent or guardian by Friday then you cannot go on the field trip! We don't want that right?"

"Noooo miss (LN)!"

"Gooood~" Opening your door you propped it open as you saw Ms. Kyoto coming down the hall with a yellow flag with a cartoon bus image. Cupping your hand around your mouth you called over the now noisy children. "Bus bees!"

Most of your kids got up to leave, merging into the line of the other children. Each one waved their goodbyes.

"Have a good day... See you tomorrow... good job on that math problem Aikira... bye-ah Megumi!" as the raven-haired boy passed by, he glanced at you holding his backpack straps in his small hands, "Make sure Mr. Fushiguro signs the form! Not you!"

He gave you a slight nod along with a little pout. "Kay..."

After the kids riding the bus left you had a few left in your classroom, each one needing a parent, guardian, or authorized adult to pick them up from your classroom.

It wasn't always this strict, only recently did the district change its policies on children pick up... Due to the two kids that went missing. They weren't from your school but it still hurt to know that there is someone out there preying on the young. It was sickening and made your stomach sour. Whoever hurts a child deserves the death penalty and more.

Once you said goodbye to the last child, you were finally able to lock up your room and go home. You released an exhausted sigh. The only thing in between you and your bed was the one-hour drive through the traffic of parents.

A small price to pay for the safety of the children of course.

However! You have a plan today! You mapped out a different route to get to your humble abode. You can go around the stop-and-go flow! With a bit more spark you got into your car and took off.

You took your new path, singing to yourself as you shimmied in your seat. Having a mini-concert in your car. Hey, you gotta keep yourself entertained somehow. In your peripheral vision, you saw something that made you snap your gaze while zooming past an alleyway.

"What-" You slammed on your brakes making your car skirt to a stop. You don't know what you had just seen but it looked as though it were a kid! Putting your vehicle in reverse you zoomed back to see if your mind was playing tricks on you. Just as you got back to the alley, you blinked in disbelief- WAS THAT MEGUMI?! You were stunned, watching this little boy walking down the darkening alley with a stick in hand. Your mind conjures up all the worst possibilities making your heart scream. He was alone! Shouldn't he be on the bus? Quickly you snapped your head in a swivel, maybe someone was around and you were losing it.

Nope!

You threw your car in park and got out calling for him, "Megumi!"

The boy cocked his head back, looking over his shoulder, "..."

"Where-"

Within a flash he was off, dropping his stick and sprinting full force.

"Ah-M-MEGUMI!" You stuttered in surprise. "What the hell!" Getting back into your car you sped off, squealing around the corner. What on earth was that boy thinking?! That little rascal! You rounded the block to the other side quickly, screeching to a stop just as Megumi got on the sidewalk. He gasps as he nearly runs face-first into the side of your car door. Rolling down the window you shouted, "GET IN THE CAR YOUNG MAN, RIGHT THIS INSTANT!"

‿︵‿︵୨˚̣̣̣͙୧ - - ୨˚̣̣̣͙୧‿︵‿︵

There was no music playing as you respectively drove the speed limit. The stillness within the car was uncomfortable due to your slight anger and Megumi's defiant attitude.

A silent clash between the two of you.

Looking into your rearview mirror he sat in the middle of your back seat, picking at a scab on his knee with his cheeks puffed out. The sunlight fluttered across his face as the scenery passed.

Taking a deep breath you settled your voice from its frustration. "Megumi... do you understand why... I'm upset?" You blinked between his reflection and the road, waiting for his response. Silence was your only answer so you continued. "It's very dangerous to be walking home alone Megumi, especially for you. You're just a kid..."

"..." He was still refusing to speak.

"There are people in this world that can hurt you... and I don't want to see that happen... I know you must be upset with me but I care about you and your father should too. He should not be-"

"He does..."

Your lips froze, just in case he wanted to say anything else. The Fushiguro boy has always been soft-spoken and occasionally prefers to go mute. It was almost like he didn't like to speak or didn't have the energy to. It took a lot of work for him to start conversing with you. Half the time you would talk and he'd listen and nod, writing whatever you said down. He barely had any friends... and he always opted to read under the shade rather than go out and play during recess. He was a very smart kid and deserved better than his terrible father who can't even bother to take part in his child's life. You have never even met the guy, let alone have a phone call with him.

Award ceremonies, plays, field trips, teacher-parent meetings, whatever it was he was never there. His son always making excuses for his absence.

Your disdain for him must have really shown because the next thing Megumi said had you swallowing a painful lump.

"...please... don't call those people on my dad..."

You didn't say anymore as you followed your GPS to Megumi's home. It was far... much too far for a kid to walk. There were a lot of things wrong with this situation. One, the address Megumi gave you was not on his record, because if it was he wouldn't be able to attend the school. This area was out of the schooling zone. So therefore none of the busses come this way. You didn't need to talk to Megumi to understand that his situation was tricky and you truly wanted what was best for the boy... but you doubt this was it.

The neighborhood looked as though it were in shambles. Unkept lawns and broken windows with wooden planks boarding them up. People stopped and glared at you as you passed by. You waved but no one returned your greeting.

You stopped in front of his house, the home separated by a thin broken chain-linked fence.

Before you could completely brake Megumi was already opening the door.

"Thanks..." he muttered.

"Ah ah!" You gave him a pointed stare, "Tomorrow, your dad has to pick you up or you need to go to afterschool care."

There was a slight look in Megumi's eyes that felt akin to him wanting to object to what you said. So you added, "There is a program for those with...little money... he just needs to fill out the paperwork...Okay?" Which was something that was sent to all parents at the beginning of the year so he has no excuses. "Okay?"

He gave you a slight nod, "Kay..."

"Alright...I'll see you tomorrow."

Shutting the door the boy walked to his home, pushing the squeaky gate open and allowing it to slam with a racketed tremble.

You waited patiently, wanting to see him get inside safely before taking off.

Jumping up the steps he bent down to flip the welcome mat and picked up what you assume was a key. You felt your eyebrow twitch...That... that was almost the straw that broke your back because what the hell...

Megumi slipped into his home without a glance back. It kind of made you sad.

What did you expect?

In his eyes... you were the bad guy trying to take him away from his dad, or telling him he needed to do better. He was too young to understand. Filled with unconditional love for the man he calls father. It hurts to know that you are hurting him indirectly. That only made you hate the older Fushiguro even more. You've already tried to give the man the benefit of the doubt but each new thing that pops up is just one more tally to your long list of 'fuck Fushiguro'. Megumi was the only reason you hadn't already called child protective services on him. You can understand not having much income but there are plenty of parents that sign up for help. The school is very generous the man just had to do the paperwork. Maybe he was one of those men who didn't ask for help. The ones that think they don't need it but clearly do.

If he doesn't start to show more effort... then you might have to force him, for the sake of Megumi.

‿︵‿︵୨˚̣̣̣͙୧ -The Next Day - ୨˚̣̣̣͙୧‿︵‿︵

Rinnng Rinnnng

Your phone trilled loudly as you held it to your ear.

You were seated at your desk, room phone in hand as you stared blankly at Megumi who sat in front of you. He kicked his feet lazily, shoes barely scraping the ground, eyes downcasted. His father did not come to get him... surprise... surprise.

When the bell rang you did not let Megumi get away this time, even though he tried to slip out in the sweep of chaos. You grabbed his shoulder just as he walked by and brought him back inside to wait with the other kids who were getting picked up.

Unfortunately, he couldn't take the bus because of zoning issues... which you aren't even going to gripe about that… but you will get annoyed with the fact Toji never called for the after-school program. Did Megumi tell him what you said? He must have, right? You are pretty sure Megumi signed for his field trip form but the sloppy scribbles make you believe it was actually him... unless Megumi has mastered the arts of forging. Honestly, the only reason you caught him was because you saw him. You looked down at the signature that looked like a two-year-old did it and Megumi's fancy cursive signature. Side by side you snorted to yourself... how did your child have a better signature than your own?

“…the person you are trying to reach at-” You ended the call for the third time. No need to leave a voicemail... the mailbox is full. You held the phone to your ear as you dialed the number again.

"He's not going to answer... he's sleep."

“Sleep or not that- huh… Megumi what if this was an emergency and you were hurt?”

“Why would I be hurt?”

“I’m just saying…you could feel unwell and need to go to the doctor or something.”

“Isn't that what the nurse is for?”

You smacked your lips with a light tilt of your head, “I’m not going to argue with you on this… you are too smart to play dumb. That’s why you've been hiding this all along.”

“You just..." He huffed in irritation, "...don't understand.”

“No…” you shake your head hanging up the phone, he was absolutely right. You don't understand. How a father could be so detached from his son that you even thought that Megumi was living at home by himself if it weren't for how ludicrous that would be? You don't even have a clue what the guy looks like. Either his dad really sucked or he truly wasn't in the picture. Or both. But today is the last day, you open your drawer and pull out a folder you put together for the man. All you needed to do was get him to sign this and Megumi can stay in the after-school program until he gets up or something. If he can't pick him up from there then you got nothing, because if he leaves Megumi they will call CPS on him. Being late three times is also a call as well They do not mess around.

Maybe that's why he never did it. If it's the one thing you are starting to learn about him you could probably bet that's why he didn't do it.

What excuse does he have? How the hell does Megumi get to school? DOES HE WALK? One problem at a time.

“…Come on, I'll take you home.”

You were going to have a very stern talk with that man.

~

~

Getting to the Fushiguro's residence you parked your car in front and got out much to Megumu's surprise. His eyes blew wide as he stared at you like you had grown two extra heads.

"Wh-What are you doing?"

"I just want to talk to your father. If he puts in these forms then you can have people that take care of you until he gets up." You explained calmly pushing the gate open. You were trying to keep your emotions tamed before you met this man. You had a very open mind and a lot of patience, it was necessary for your career. You felt this conversation would piss you off or prove to be beneficial. Whatever the case you were going to settle this anxiety. You had slight trouble walking on the cracked cement in your heels. Grass grew out of the cracks. Broken bike in the yard and a few pieces of trash scattered the yard. The entire place looked abandoned.

"No! You can't!" Megumi ran in front of you but you passed him by, his little body doing nothing to block you.

"Megumi... It's alright." With how he was acting, you were starting to think maybe it wasn't alright. The boy does bruise easily...but was there something deeper going on here? "I just need to talk to him briefly... and then he can go back to sleep. I'm trying to help you..." You stood by the door waiting for him to open it.

Megumi had a moment of uncertainty, gaze avoiding your own as he denied both of you entrance, opting to stand outside.

You soften your tone, "Let me talk to him for just a moment... please Megumi. If someone else catches on to what's going on here...then they may not hesitate to call... those people." You let your words sink in, your feet planted so he could understand you would not be swayed otherwise. You can be gentle but stern.

His body relaxed from its offensive state, conceding as he knelt by the mat and grabbed his key.

"Um... Megumi... why do you put the key under there?"

"So I don't lose it." He spoke matter of factly while opening the door.

Just one other thing to add to the list- what kind of parenting is this? Was he that tired he couldn't even be bothered to answer the door? You straightened your white blouse and ruffled skirt, reminding yourself to relax. Stepping into the front entrance your lips parted in silent horror.

What the...

The door opened up into the living room... at least... what you could see of it. Mail, trash, and other junk littered the entire area. It looked dark within the room despite the small orange light that flicked on weakly, the bulb exposed with no cover. You could see the wires peaking out from the ceiling.

Each new area you rest your orbs on makes you sicker and sicker. There wasn't one safe space... except maybe for the big-ass rocking chair sitting in front of the tv. You just might puke.

This... this was no place for a child!

"I'll go get him..." Megumi mumbled as he took off his shoes.

Shell shocked in place you didn't even realize Megumi had left you, disappearing into a door under the stairs.

You didn't even want to breathe. It pained you to do so. The fragrance of mold and god knows what else invaded your brain cells and killed them off. Maybe it would be best to wait outside before you die. If you see a rat or cockroach you just might pass out. Taking a step back you heard something heavy hit the ground followed by a long groan of pain.

It sounded like someone was hurt.

Your eyes flickered around before you moved down the hall. "Hello?" Passing the kitchen archway you were able to see it mirrored the living room in cleanliness. You didn't have time to be disgusted as another pained grunt kept you moving.

"Fuck-ngh-"

You crept closer to the door that was ajar, pushing it open with the tips of your fingers, "Hello- oh!" As the door swept wide, you found what looked to be a cluttered office, a large man with black hair upon his knees and hands, blood spilling from his lips, seeping through his fingers. You were snapped into action, running to him, "Sir are you okay?" Kneeling beside him he let out something that sounded like a growl but that could have been because he was in so much pain. Helping him onto the beaten-up sofa you tried to look for where the blood was coming from. He sat back panting heavily, dropping something on the ground, yet you were too focused, searching for a wound to notice what it was. "I'll call someone don't worry." You placed a hand on his large shoulder slipping your phone out of your purse.

As soon as your thumb went to tap on the numbers the man snatched the device out of your hand and flicked it across the room.

"Hey- what the-" You chased after it like a dog playing fetch but the next thing you knew you were yanked into his lap, back against his chest with his arms wrapped tightly underneath your breast. "L-Let me go!" You gasped... but he didn't. You tried to break free from his grip but the more you wiggled and fought the tighter his arms got.

"Stop...ngh...moving..." He breathed sounding out of breath. He curled over your frame, face in the crook of your neck. He inhaled deeply making you shiver. "Ahh... you smell so good..." He folded you into his frame, bending you over. His entire body consumed you. He was too large to be a man. He was a damn monster... and if that didn't scare you then perhaps it was what you found on the floor twitching by your foot. The thing the man had in his hand was a bloody rat.

The blood...he was eating it. Your eyes slowly widen as a scream bubbles from your throat. "Let me go! Let me go! Please!" He was a psycho- a damn psychopath! What the fuck is wrong with him!

Toji growled, "Fucking dammit woman-I- you're driving me crazy-mm-stop..." He sounded disappointed and pissed as if you were at fault for this situation.

You might have actually considered his words if it wasn't for the way he pressed his cock into your ass, moving you back and forth as he panted in your ear. You couldn't believe how hard he was. A new kind of fear had you spasing, "LET ME GO LET ME GO!" You kicked out your feet and thrashed as the man hissed and groaned. "LET ME GO PLEASE- HELP HELP ME-ah-" your gaze landed on Megumi who was standing in the doorway with his mouth hanging open. His eyes fixed in fear. "Megumi run! Go get help!"

"Dad..."

Your breath hitched, did he just say, Dad?

"Get out..."

"Don't- don't hurt her, please..."

"Megumi!" The shout made you and the boy flinch. His voice sounded almost distorted, like a beast.

"N-no Megumi!" You whimpered as he began to shut the door with a sprinkle of tears. "Megumi!"

Right before the door closed, he whispered with a choked sob, "Don't kill her please- please dad... I'll hate you... forever."

Once the door clicked the man grabbed your hair with a hard fist making you yelp as he exposed your neck. Within the corner of your wide eyes, you could see the red orbs that looked upon you... but most importantly the sharp canines that glistened with rat blood.

Were... those... fangs?

"Sorry little lady."

Within the next second, he opened his mouth wide and sunk his teeth into your neck. You released a scream but his large hand slapped over your mouth, muffling your cries.

Your body felt cold and warm at the same time. You could feel your blood flow through you, being sucked out from the moaning man. You became heavy with each second. Eyes getting fuzzy. You had stopped screaming, well... you were unable to. You didn't have enough energy to, and soon you didn't have the power to keep your eyes open. You're life flashing before your eyes. Your mind trying to give you a reason to keep fighting. An instinct for survival... but there was no use. Fighting just caused it to hurt more.

You accepted your fate and met with darkness.

It was one of my favorites as a kid!
