House of Alphas Chapter 36: The Crying Monster (Patreon)

Within a split second, you caught yourself while using your shadow bolt. Sending it flying to the right to blast the wall. It was the tears that made you stop. Though it was crying, the monster still charged at you.

You hopped backward as it lunged, causing it to fall to the ground, and then you leaped over its head while activating your battle gear. You got ready for another attack but your eyes squinted with a questioning furrow of brows. There was something about this monster. From the black mop of hair to the crying green eyes to the....smell!

It was a mix of death and something familiar! It smelt like-

"What's going on!?" Gojo was first out of the room as your other alphas came flying behind him.

Nagi was in the midst of getting up to also see what all the commotion was about.

"It's-" The moment you took to look at them was just enough for the creature to come back at you again with a loud screech.

You rolled out of the way allowing the monster to hit the wall. Just as you got to safety Sukuna leapt into action with his claws at the ready.

"NO!" you stopped him with your sword, angry confused eyes snapping toward you.

"What the hell are you doing?" He growled.

The creature was coming at you for the third time, he wouldn’t let up it seems.

Gojo pointed his fingers to him, red swirled around the tip as it formed into a small ball.

"IT'S JUNPEI DON'T HURT HIM!"

“Shit-” You pushed Gojo’s arm as he blasted the ceiling open.

“Well, the fuck you want us to do?”

Everyone leaped backward into the living room, spread out as the monster tried to attack each person like a dangerous game of tag. The whole while it blubbered and had an endless stream of tears.

"What do you mean it's Junpei?!" Nagi cried frozen in place, too shocked to move a finger even when danger came forth. Toji whisked her out of the way just in time as the claws nearly ripped into her flesh.

"Someone turned him into a cursed spirit!" You explained trying to think of a plan to save him. "Don't kill him!"

"Are you kidding? So we are just going to let him kill us?" Gojo dodged the creature easily as it went to Nanami next.

"It's either him or us little bird." Nanami readied his blade, his eyes narrowing for the perfect cut.

"NO!" You and Nagi screamed together.

Your blonde sighed as he dipped down and front-flipped over the monster.

"Again- what the fuck do you want us to do then?" Sukuna growled in annoyance as he slapped a hand on the monster's head. It clawed at him and wiggled, while he held it at arm's length away.

Nanami looked toward you with a stern expression, "We can't let him roam freely, he will kill someone, and I won't allow him to hurt you."

“I-i know…but…”

You looked toward Nagi as she tried to talk to Junpei, "June! June it's me! It's me! Are you in there?" She tried to get to him but Toji kept her safely away.

Sukuna pushed the cursed spirit down onto the ground as it whined "MaAamaAaaa~" Its voice sounded distorted as it got up.

"Yes! Yes, it's me, honey!"

You had hope fill your heart as you watched Junpei slowly walk to Nagi but then he screeched while rushing her with a wide mouth ready to chomp.

"Slumba!" Getou threw a cloud of smoke covering Junpei completely, causing him to wobble back and forth before crashing onto the ground with a heavy thud.

"Junpei!" Nagi threw herself on top of his sleeping form. "My baby!" She cried as she hugged the monster as a mother would her son. “My baby what has happened to you!”

Your eyes stung as you gulped the lump in your throat. Your alphas looked at you, waiting for your call. You already knew they all wanted to kill him. Once a curse... there was no turning back time. But maybe... just maybe no one has ever truly tried.

Typically when someone turns into a curse in the original game you are forced to fight it. There is no time for talking and capturing wasn't an option. There wasn't any room to ‘try’ to save a curse. It was a really cut-and-dry game. People's lives were not that important. Even when it is revealed that the cursed monsters are people. There was a moment of sadness and then it would be back to business. It was a dog-eat-dog world. It drove your human spirit crazy.

You had full control of the game now, and that was not the type of world you wanted to be in. Especially if you are stuck here. If you could find a way to cure Junpei you could save a lot more people.

What if the witches can help him?

"My alphas,” you spoke up with a defiant strength in your voice.

"You want to take him with us." Sukuna rolled his eyes already knowing what you were about to say. You could tell your other alphas weren't surprised by this either. They must have seen this coming before you even thought about it.

They were starting to know you too well.

You pressed your lips firmly as you looked at everyone, "Is that... alright?"

"He's..." Nanami paused as he walked toward you keeping his voice low so Nagi couldn't hear. Your other alphas huddled closer as well. "...He's dangerous..."

"...Yes.. but he's also... kind of weak no? You saw how slow he was moving. I don't think he's that dangerous."

He was probably a level 1 monster, to be honest. Hell barely level 1. He was more of those random creatures on the map you just slap just because you are bored. You practically walked around with him in the living room. As a matter of fact, if Gojo allowed him to hit him he probably would have killed himself just from the infinity barrier. As sad as this all was…Junpei was weak… but looking on the bright side if he were strong this would have been a tremendous problem and you probably would have had to kill him.

Just one sleep spell and he was knocked out.

You pushed onward with your idea, “We can keep him contained and sedated, it would be easy.”

"That sounds like a lot of work." Gojo yawned as if he didn't just wake up.

"Perhaps I can learn how to control him." Getou mused.

"Why would you want that weak shit?"

"It's nice having minions."

"No- I want to save him not enslave him." You shook your head not liking the sound of the shinigami user adding Junpei to his collection. Collecting cursed spirits was one thing collecting human cursed spirits seemed awful and torturous. Cursed spirits don’t really have a mind of their own. They sleep until summoned and happily do whatever their master commands. They didn’t have a sound conscious. In this situation…it seemed Junpei was still in there, but his body worked on its own. Poor thing… it seemed like hell. “I want to return him to normal.”

"What if there isn't a cure for him?"

"...Then we will cross that bridge when we get there... We can at least... try...pleaseeee~?" You clasped your hands and smiled cutely while winking your lashes.

Nanami blushed looking away, "This is a serious situation little bird..."

That's a half of a vote.

"Well, maybe she's right, we just keep him locked up." Toji grinned.

That's a vote.

Sukuna grabbed your nose making you squeak, "You're such a spoiled brat."

Perhaps a vote?

"Ai-" You swat him away, rubbing at your nose, "You aren't scared are you?" You raised a brow. "If he's so weak and you are so strong then it wouldn't be much of a challenge, right? Not for my big strong alpha?”

The red-eyed alpha rolled his eyes, "I suppose."

Too easy!

Two-point five out of five.

"Hm~" Gojo hummed while picking at his nails like a dainty king, "This is going to take a loooooot of energy from me~" That liar- "What are we going to get in return hm?"

"I-"

Now their eyes took on a different sort of haze. Hopping to be spoiled if they bend to your will. Seriously they were so one-track-minded.

Getou joined in with the scheming heathen, "Yes, for going out of our way to carry this burden what will our sweet omega exchange for our hardships?"

They are soooo dramatic! But didn't you already know that?

"Fine..." You nod, you were already planning to do this but now you could use it as a means for the safety of Junpei. "...I will find a way to show each of you my appreciation." You will have to get out of your comfort zone and bestow them with your affection. That’s easy, right?

“Sounds like a deal~Now I have two favors for me~.”

“You said what-

Getou clapped his hands twice as he spoke in cursed language. A slew of words that sounded as if he were speaking in ominous tongues. Black strands formed behind him as a hole appeared filled with darkness. The last words he spoke with such fierceness. “I call upon thy- Arachne!”

“Ahahahaha~” The spider queen laughed lusciously as she slithered and crawled her way out of the black hole. She was half woman half spider. A stone crown upon her head that had eight glowing red eyes. She looked exactly like how a hentai artist would draw a fantasy spider queen for a game…acted the same way too... You were just glad she didn’t try to hit on any of you, she just gets off on eating and killing the enemy. How most cursed spirits are. Blood-hungry and ready to feast on their fallen foes. Apparently, they had something in common with Sukuna. The spider queen was one of the shinigamis you fought in training and was one tough bitch. Her web traps were impossible to get out of on your own and she could even poop out little spider babies and sling poison.

She was however weak to fire. It was a long battle with her but you were just glad she was now on your team.

“Be a dear and wrap up our friend for us.” Getou waved her forward as she went to do just that.

“Wh-what are you doing?” Nagi asked in fear, holding her son protectively to her bosom.

“It’s okay…” You walk up and try to comfort the frightened mother, “…We are going to take him with us…perhaps we can save him.”

Nagi’s eyes began to water, “You will save him?”

You paused momentarily because you weren’t sure if you could save him. “I…” You nodded neglecting to speak the words, too afraid your tone would break and give you away.

“Please…tell me you will save him. He’s- he’s all I have…”

The weight of her words was heavy upon your shoulders. Clasping her hands in your own you gave her your most sincere gaze, “I will do everything in my power…” That was much easier to say. Because you planned to do just that. Win or lose.

“Thank you… thank you Prime Omega.” The woman held you tight as she let out a broken sob, “Thank you- s-so much for caring about my Junpei.”

You took the time to comfort the beta until Arachne finished wrapping Junpei in her silk webs and then disappeared.

Before Toji picked up Junpei, Nagi had kissed the sleeping monster on the forehead. “Be strong honey… come back to me please…”

Your travel arrangements have now been modified. Nanami purchased a carriage that could better transport your new package. Traveling time would be just a little slower but it shouldn't be that big of a difference. You just hope the witches will have an answer for you and Junpei.

"Uuuh, Why are we traveling with that thing?" You heard Momo question as she wrinkled her nose at the cursed spirit.

Nanami explained to her and Inumaki, "Our omega wishes to take him along in hopes of somehow saving it. That is unless you already know otherwise?"

You could tell Nanami still didn't like the idea of carrying around a monster that was ready to attack at any chance.

Momo shook her head, "Not sure... but it has been a long time since we've been home. Witches have learned how to adapt to any situation...well... we were forced to, in order to survive."

"I'm sorry to hear that..." Nanami offered.

"It's coo... it's not like it was your fault."

It was a pleasant conversation between two different people. You hope some of your niceties rub off on your alphas...

"Hey- Inumaki look at me?" Gojo squinted at your beta.

"Hm?" The witch looked slightly confused.

"Your... your face is glowing!"

"Aw yes, the chieftain's husband gave me this herb that seemed to ease the toxins from the flesh. Or perhaps it was the mud spa…hm the massages was quite nice… I slept like a pup in the fluffy nests… or maybe it was the delicious food...ah why are you crying alpha?"

"C-crying? I-am not crying, you're crying!"

“I don't think that'd be possible with the night I had.”

Gojo sniffles, “It should have been me~!”

Getou patted the alpha on the back to comfort him as he too looked on the verge of tears. “It’s always the good alphas that get punished,” he spoke solemnly like a sad poet.

“How was your night?”

“I'm…not ready to talk about it.” Gojo sniffles wiping at his crocodile tears.

“Okay…. Take your time.” Now Inumaki was comforting him?!

These dam spoiled alphas!

You rolled your eyes to the high heavens. You knew your alphas- Gojo and Getou- were going to be pouting queens but you were glad you stuck to staying at Nagi's house. If you weren't there who knows what could have happened. Junpei could have accidentally killed his mother. You couldn't imagine the grief he would have suffered watching in horror as he tore into her flesh. You didn't even want to think about it.

“Ooo~” Nanami hissed while rubbing at his back.

“You good?”

“Yeah, just a little cramp.”

“Probably from sleeping on those thin paper blankets.”

“CAN WE GO?!”

“Junpei?” You stared into the green eyes of the monster as it looked at you with glossy orbs.

After traveling all day long your team had finally decided to take a break. You were close to the great bridge. The wind had taken on a crisp smell and a cooler breeze tickled your skin.

While setting up camp you took the time to speak with the cursed spirit. He didn't say anything tangible back to you. His body only tried to fight and wiggle out of its binds. It wasn't until he exhausted all his energy did he truly calmed down. Kneeling in front of him you expected his orbs to be soulless… empty… but you could see him… you could see Junpei. Scared and hurt on the inside. “I'm going to do what I can okay I'll do my best.” you hoped your calm words would give him some sort of reassurance. Some sort of hope. Another stream of tears pathed down his monstrous flesh.

“Rrrrngh….” it grumbled out.

You weren’t sure what he was trying to say but once the noise spilled out the body tried to lunge at you. He couldn't get close to you but still, you felt a pair of hands yank you backward. Blinking up you found Nanami holding you to his chest, expression fixed in a scowl. There was a hint of burnt coffee tickling your nose. He was anxious.

His eyes didn't move from the target as he questioned you, “Are you okay?”

“Yes, I'm fine Nanami.” you rubbed at his neck trying to ease the tension within them. “You have nothing to worry about.”

“What if he breaks out?”

“Nanami, you are stressing yourself too much.” Getou called over from his spot around the campfire. “Arachnea’s webs are much stronger than you think. He won't be able to break out of them.”

“He’s too weak for that.” Sukuna added.

Okay, he didn't have to add that part in Junpei can still clearly hear!

“Our omega is much stronger too.”

Okay, that part was nice.

You looked up at Nanami with a light smile on your lips. Trying to convey to him that you were indeed fine.

Nanami took a deep sigh, “I apologize ...”

Toji gave the blonde a look of sympathy, “I don't want that thing anywhere near my princess either so I understand. You should get some sleep, Sukuna, and I will take the first watch.”

“I did not volunteer as tribute-” Toji slapped a hand upon the alpha's mouth.

Nanami nodded, “Okay… don’t let anything happen to her.”

“We won't.”

A mouth appeared on Sukuna’s hand, “Duh.”

“Wait…” you stand up with Nanami grabbing a hold of his loose white blouse. “…I know my appreciation is in need and I would like to… help you relax if that is okay…um if I can join you in your tent-”

“Ooo~” Getou cooed.

“-To give you a massage!” you blurt out swiftly. Damn, horn dogs.

Nanami gave you a light smile. “That sounds lovely.”

“Good.” You nodded stepping over the camp as you dug into the inventory worm for some soothing oils. You noticed the air around was too quiet. Much too quiet. Your eyes narrowed once you got the bottle. Looking toward your alphas they seemed to be thinking too hard about something.

It reeked of jealousy.

You stifled a knowing sigh, “What troubles your mind alphas?”

Gojo popped his lips, “I just think it’s funny that you are giving Nanami a massage! What about me?!” He exaggeratedly waved his hand. “What does an alpha have to do to get the royalty treatment?!”

“Would you like me to give you a massage sir?”

“No Inumaki!”

“Spoiled alpha,” You snort, “I’ll give you a back rub. Will that settle your tantrum?”

A few of your alphas chuckled but you didn’t know why they were laughing. You knew damn well they were feeling the same way Gojo was feeling. The alpha just voiced their jealous opinion.

Gojo pouted, crossing his arms but he uttered out a cute, “Yesh…”

“So that will settle our score and what about my other alphas?”

“I would love to have your soft hands on me princess.”

Getou hummed, “Only if it will have a blessed ending.”

“Gah-”

Gojo’s eyes nearly popped, “Oh, hell yeah! Same with mine, good thinking my intelligent friend!”

“Why thank you~”

“I don't want the massage just skip it and go straight to massaging my cock in your thr-”

“Okay!” you quickly cut in. Body heats up at the idea of what you are about to agree on. In a way, this does line up with what you were going for. At least you can separate them and do it one at a time so it shouldn't be so overwhelming. “W-would that..be payment enough for allowing Junpei to come with us?”

“It will suffice.” Sukuna flicked a log into the fire as everyone else nodded in agreement.

You blew out a deep breath, you had five alphas you had to service during your travels. Well in reality you had five alphas you always had to service. No matter. This will be a good first step in getting comfortable with being affectionate with each one.

Nanami offered his open palm for you to grab. You placed your hand within his own. Butterflies fill your stomach as he helps you up and takes you into his tent.

“Me next right?!” Gojo yelled.

“Fight me for it.”

You slipped inside the tent, they can Duke that out on their own. Nanami’s tent is nice and neat with a thick blanket and pillows. You sat on your knees, with your hands clasped in your lap. You felt… like a call girl as you waited for Nanami to remove his shirt. For some reason that didn’t necessarily seem bad but it still tickled the slightest part of your mind.

Nanami popped each button at a time with nimble fingers. Your heart beats quicker as you watch each one become undone.

“You do not have to… give me the blessed ending… as Suguru suggested. I’m quite alright with the massage.” He talked calmly while removing his shirt. He laid down on his stomach, crossing his arms under his pillow. He could tell you were nervous. He was moving and talking in a way that one would approach a frightened rabbit.

Knowing he had no expectations of you pleasing him sexually, did give you a sense of relief. It made the situation less… daunting.

“Thank you, Nanami.” You threw your leg over his body, resting on his hips. Your mouth nearly watered as you looked upon his back. The muscles in his back were so defined. He was undeniably handsome. Body crafted to perfection. Pouring the oil on your shakey fingers it dripped seamlessly upon his back. You rest your hands on his skin, smoothing it in.

Nanami sucked in a sharp breath and let out a nice groan.

That noise alone did things to you.
