The rain was coming down hard.
You could barely see what was ten feet ahead of you. Despite this, you leaned against your horse as it dashed down the mountain. The path was slippery and muddy, water splashed all around as the horses pushed forward. Yu was able to give you guys gear for the rain, but you still felt like your clothes were being soaked.
This was a horrible time to be traveling.
When it would rain in the game, traveling would take twice as long. So you’d always try to go around it; sometimes that was faster than going through it.
Not only was it hard to move, but it was also difficult to sniff anything out. So you would get ambushed by mobs randomly without seeing them coming.
You were traveling blindly, following Gojo, who knew where the Eye of Sauron was. The others could see through it, but only Gojo had full access to it.
That was probably the one positive thing about the situation. If you didn’t have surveillance on the girls, they would have been long gone.
You couldn’t understand why they chose to run away.
They were going north, so you could only assume they were going home. Well, that’s where you were taking them anyway! Why wouldn’t they wait for your pack?
Perhaps they were just that scared of your alphas.
You thought you were at least getting somewhere with them. Gosh- You felt so stupid for not catching on sooner that this was their plan. That tingling feeling you got was your instincts telling you that something was wrong. That someone had their hand in your inventory. You didn’t ignore it, you just didn’t understand it. Dammit. Now their actions made so much sense. Telling you to go eat with your alphas so they could be alone and manipulating you into keeping the inventory worm with you instead of the others. ‘So mama could be close’…Crazy enough, you put it in your own inventory, so they had snuck into your magical one! How the hell did they do that? You would be proud of them for being able to pull such a thing off if you weren’t absolutely terrified that they’d get hurt.
You heard a loud neigh. Looking back, you saw Nanami’s horse slide around clumsily before collapsing upon its legs.
“Woah-.” Nanami shouted. Luckily, he was able to jump off before the horse fell on its side.
“Stop!” You and Getou yelled to the others, calling for a halt.
You pulled on your reins, making your horse slow down and turn. Trotting toward Nanami, you shouted over the pouring rain, “Are you alright?!”
“Yes…I’m fine, but I don’t think my horse is…” Nanami patted his horse as it whined. The animal stood on trembling legs, lifting its front hoof as it galloped in place with unsure movements.
“I gotcha… poor baby…” Leaning down, you use your light energy to heal the horse.
“They are being attacked!” Gojo shouted.
You looked toward him with wide eyes, “Fuck- We have to move fast-"
“Gojo, you and me, let’s go now!” Sukuna shouted as he shot off his horse, transforming into his true form.
Gojo looked toward you for your final say.
“Go!”
“Alright!” Gojo threw himself off his horse as he and Sukuna were gone in a flash, disappearing into the storm.
Toji and Getou grabbed their horses and brought them over just as you finished healing Nanami’s.
Getou tried to reassure you that your alphas got it handled, “Don’t worry! Gojo and Sukuna will get to them!”
You nodded your head, “I know they will…” You did not doubt that they’d be able to make it in time. They were the fastest on your team. And something told you that they would not dream of failing you. “We still need to get to them, let’s not waste time!”
Toji took the lead this time, tracking your alpha’s path. Sukuna and he have traveled a lot together, so they had their ways of leaving clues to let the other know which way they had gone.
Suddenly, you had veered off the main path leading deep into the forest. The monster must have spooked the pups, causing them to dart in a different direction.
Just as you thought this, you noticed clear gunk that looked like water at first, but then you passed a tree that had a glop of it sliding down. “Oh shit…” You cursed under your breath. Why didn't you think of that creature? Especially considering the storm.
“You know what we are about to fight!?” Toji shouted, looking at you from the corner of his eye.
“It’s an Ellexon!” You answered.
Your alpha nodded.
“You’ve got to be kidding! What would one be doing here...” Getou began, but then he trailed off. Realizing why such a creature would be slithering its way up the mountain.
Nanami was the one to point out the obvious, “It’s come for Yu!”
An Ellexon was a slimy, slug-like creature. Its elements are thunder and water. Its size can shift and change to whatever it wants. But as you beat it, it gets smaller and smaller. It reminded you of the Elden beast from Elden Ring, the light inside of it being the thunder that strikes it. It was a blob monster that took the shape of a makeshift dragon with tentacles. Weren't you glad you didn’t play that hentai kind of game…You felt a little shiver at the thought.
The creature was not a typical mob that you would see cruising around. You would consider it a world boss. It was the cause of the rainstorm. Another reason you avoided going through the rain. Most of the time, you would fight it for a quest with other people helping. You could fight it alone, but it was just easier to hire mercenaries for help.
This will not be an easy fight.
You used your magical girl change spell, and your alphas got ready as well.
"Send a message to Yu!" You shouted at Getou. Hopefully, Yu could bring reinforcements.
An eerie cry rang into the night air. It sounded like a T. Rex. The ground rumbled and shook with the power of an earthquake. Your team slid to a stop, the horses shaking their heads as they danced on the uneven ground that began to splinter and crack.
"I know I know Twilight-" You tried to get your horse under control, but then you felt that ice pick sense of an attack coming.
“Move!” Toji snapped as everyone scattered. Large spikes shot out of the darkness.
Your horse moved away, but the translucent spikes stabbed into the trees and ground around you. Caging you in.
"Shadow Strike!" You yell using your sword that Sukuna got for you. With a spin off your horse, you twirled around and cut the tentacles with a purple arc. The pieces you chopped off dropped to the ground and jiggled around, while the other part of the tentacle reared back in pain and zipped into the darkness.
You blast the rest of the blobs so they couldn't rejoin the main body. Then you raised your hand into the air, shining your light energy to signal your location to your alphas.
Getou jumped down next to you, "You alright?"
"Yes, I'm fine, summon your Rainbow Dragon. It will help us the most during this fight."
"Got it." Getou did just as you said, summoning his Dragon spirit. It was a well-rounded spirit that had resistance in all elements. A tanky dragon when it came to magic fights. You will need something to take as much aggro as possible. Directing its attention to the sky will help you on the ground, so you can dodge most of its AOE attacks.
Once Getou's rainbow dragon danced out of its summoning circle, you pushed closer to the fight. Gojo wiffed past you, sliding in the mud.
"Don't get too close!" He shouted while using his finger like a gun.
"Where are the pup-" You called, but just as you did, you saw the creature lurch up into the air
It let out a trill of squeaks, casting its spell. Thunder struck above it and zapped its body. The thunder split inside it as it began to zigzag throughout its body. Right at the bottom, you could see Mimiko trying to thrash out of the blob. "MIMIKO!" You shouted, throwing your hands into a wide arc. The spell was cast without you even saying the word. Your shadow magic sliced forward, cutting the monster right before the thunder could touch the girl. It dispersed and exploded else where making everyone duck at the thunder destroyed the trees and ground around.
"EEEE~" The Ellexon groaned as its body vibrated and split at the stomach, the lightning successfully cut off before it could reach the girl. However, the beast was quickly trying to reconnect what had been lost.
"I got her!" Sukuna shot through the blob with a twisting tornado. He left a gaping hole in the monster as he rolled next to you, Mimiko tucked tightly to his chest.
"MIMIKO! Are you okay?!" You kneeled as the girl coughed aggressively.
"Here!" Toji dropped to your side, Nanako passed out within his arm. "Take them and get back!"
Swiftly, you cast Holy Nova right before your alphas could jump back into action. Then you picked up the girls and dashed away into a mist of darkness. Setting them down by a tree. Nanako was still knocked out, but Mimiko had just gotten done coughing, her weary gaze shaking as she tried to look upon you.
"Stay right here, don't move." You give her a pointed look, your voice full of motherly command.
The girl quickly tried to mutter out an apology, "I-I i'm sorry-we just-"
"We will talk about that later." You stood, looking back at your alphas as their dark figures danced around in the rain. You cast one glance at the pups before you ran back into battle. "Keep an eye on them Getou!"
"Hm." Getou nodded as he took a further stance back, using his smaller spirits to attack anything that went in his direction.
Small lumps were dropping in chunks all around you as your alphas hacked and slashed at the giant creature.
"Make sure you kill the blobs before they can reform!" You shouted, casting a wave of darkness onto the little bits.
"Understood!" Nanami flipped his blade around as he dashed and zipped through several blobs so swiftly that you could still see his movement through the rain.
Getou's dragon swirled above, using its taunting roar* so it could drag the monster's focus to it.
Sukuna and Toji were dodging the spikes as they shot out of the creature, cutting off limb after limb with their slashing attacks.
Gojo kept his distance, shooting the beast and dragging the small ones away so he could crush them with a devastating force.
You were ducking and dodging as well, focusing on the smaller bits and healing your alphas when needed. Everything was going well until Toji let out a grunt.
"Fuck-" His foot got caught in the air, and then the monster flipped him around before all its tentacle spikes came rubberbanding back to close him into its body.
"Toji!" You shouted his name as you threw yourself forward. You didn't even need to cast your dark step; you could feel your body dispersing into your darkness, like you were in water. Much like before. Your adrenaline was at an all-time high, so you could barely register the feeling of your limbs becoming one with your cloudy mist. It was like second nature to you. Any tentacle that came into contact with you went through you and began to disintegrate and drop all around you.
As soon as you made it, you pressed your hand into the monster, your alpha right on the other side as he wiggled around the jelly-like liquid. "NGH!" You grit your teeth, pushing your arms deeper into it, the slime disintegrating all around you, but it was no use. As you pushed in, the monster kept regenerating what was lost, trying to push you away and pulling Toji deeper within. "TOJI NO!" You cried out loud.
Sukuna planted his feet right above you as he spun his trident around and stabbed it into the belly of the beast. He let out a frustrated growl as he dug it deeper into the stomach.
Gojo and Nanami were fighting all the slimy limbs around them that tried to attack you. You were becoming surrounded by the monster as it began to curl around your entire pack. Once it finished the circle, it then let out the same yip as before, reaching up into the air, thunder clapped. Your eyes widen as you watch the lightning flash above you. The thunder was going to zap all that was near or connected to the monster. Toji especially will receive a critical hit.
"LOOK OUT!"
But right at the last moment of doom, Getou's dragon blocked the lightning, getting hit by the full attack. The spirit let out a painful cry as it twitched in agony, then sailed to the ground with a huge crash. It then disintegrated into its summoning circle, having been defeated.
Getou let out an angry growl, "Die repulsive slug! Ultimate Uzumaki!" He threw up his hand as multiple summoning circles appeared all around. Different curse spirits came out one after the other as they all rushed around and unleashed powerful moves against the beast.
The slug shrieked as it got torn apart and blown up. You were then able to grab Toji and yank him out of the blob with Sukuna's help. All three of you tumbled to the ground.
Toji let out a few body-shaking coughs as you took the time to heal him.
Sukuna stood above you in a protective stance, "You get him right, we got you."
Pieces of the monster were raining down on the battlefield as your alphas made sure none of them touched you and Toji.
"I'm good now, thanks, baby." Toji stood, cracking his shoulder as he got back into the fight. "But don't do that again- you could have seriously gotten hurt!"
"Then don't get caught again!"
"Heh, fair enough, sorry princess."
"Save the sweet talking for later fellas!"
You flashed a smile at Gojo before using the rest of your energy to form around your sword, "Alrigth, let's finish this!" You shouted as your pack nodded in agreement.
As you move around the field, you find yourself back-to-back with Getou. "Nice ult my alpha!"
"Much appreciate it- ah the pups!"
You looked over your shoulder, spotting Nanako and Mimiko running away- AGAIN!
Mimiko, however, was pulling back while her sister dragged her.
"Stop Nanako!" Mimiko cried, fighting back.
"Let's go Mimi! If you hadn't wanted that damn cake we wouldn't have gotten caught!"
"Girls! What are you two doing?!" You questioned as you ran to them, cutting a blob along the way.
Mimiko yanked herself from her sister, almost falling over, but you caught her. She then shouted at her sister, "Raven is going to take us to G.Ma, w-we don't have to go alone!"
"NO!" Nanako stomped her foot. Her curse energy swirling around her body.
You then yelled in frustration, "Nanako! I don't want you or your sister to get hurt! Let us take you home! Please!"
"I don't want to be with the evil man that killed papa!" Nanako yelled in fury, hot, angry tears blending with the heavy pour of the rain.
With that final shout, with all her might, she had stunned the battlefield.
You felt tension in the air as you looked to see your alphas look back at such a declaration.
Her finger was pointing right at Toji.
So it wasn't your alphas...
It was Toji...
"Oh..." That was all you could utter. Now that made sense... Despite you telling them that you and your pack had saved G.Ma and their home, they probably could never look past something like that. You didn't have the words. Even Toji appeared saddened by the revelation.
You slowly nodded your head, "...I'm so sorry ... I didn't know..."
The monster's loud cry rang once again, and thunder flashed in the sky. This time, there wasn't anything to block it. Lightning hit the creature that was spread out throughout the field. The electricity sparkled all around you, and then the ground exploded.
"AH!" You released a cry as you pushed the girls out of the way, and then you fell into darkness. Rocks were raining all around you. Something hit your head with a harsh blow, and the impact caused your mind to go black.
~
"(Y/n)?"
"Hm..."
"Sweetheart...are you okay?"
You heard someone talking to you within the hazy void. Slowly, your eyes blinked a few times, but all you could see was darkness.
"What's going on-" You tried to sit up, but you felt a hand press on your shoulder.
"Don't...don't move...."
You felt cramped and surrounded. Something wet was dripping on your face. Whoever was talking to you sounded out of breath.
Your fingers glowed with light energy, and then you released a gasp.
Nanami was curled over you; his magic shield was fizzing in and out all around you. The two of you were closed in tight with dirt and rocks. But the part that made you really gasp in dread was the blood that was dripping from Nanami's wet blonde hair.
That’s what was on your cheek, your alpha’s blood.
"Nanami! Oh my Tengen, are you okay?" You use your light energy to heal his wound. He sighed as the cut on his head sealed up.
"I'm fine, sweetheart...are you alright?"
"Yes...I think..." You hissed as your own head ached in pain. Quickly, you healed your wound. Once you could think straight, you asked, "Where are we?" You questioned, trying to look around, but all you could see was dirt and rocks.
"The ground exploded under us, unfortunately, we got buried- ngh..." Nanami let out a pained groan as his arms shook. The barrier was splintering under the pressure of the rocks above him. Some of them were even stabbing through, cutting into his skin.
"Nanami-you are not okay!" You go to heal him, but he tries to stop you with his words.
"No...s-save your energy for yourself..." He gasped, unable to physically deny your help.
"For myself? What are you talking about?" You could feel your eyes watering a bit; you hated seeing any of your alphas hurt.
"Just in case..." He whispered softly.
You didn't like what he was implying.
"Shut up Nanami! Don't say that!" You released a growl, only making him chuckle lightly. His laugh lacked any energy.
Just as you moved his clothes, something dropped upon your stomach. You pick it up, bringing it to your face so you can see it.
"Is this...?" You were surprised to see Six's clip, fixed and polished. You looked up at him and then at the clip as if you couldn't believe it. "...You fixed it." You smiled softly.
"Ah..." He seemed shocked by your find, as if it was supposed to be a surprise. "I did...sorry I wanted to give it to you at a better time..."
"Nanami..." You placed the clip upon your chest, your eyes full of gratitude. "...Thank you...thank you so much for fixing it.. you have no idea how much that means to me...If we weren't in the ground, I would have jumped you."
Your blonde lets out a handsome laugh, one with a little bit more flair. "I know. That's why I selfishly kept it away from Sukuna."
You let out a little gasp, "That's why he told me the shop couldn't fix it..."
"He did? Well, I'm both surprised and thankful for that... I could have given to you sooner...but..." He gently shook his head as if it were silly what he was about to say next, "I had imagined...a date for the two of us when we got home...a date to the oasis...something beautiful-"
"Shh..." You hush him with a gentle finger to his lips. "...Don't tell me..." You then slid the clip back into his pocket. "...You will show me...do you understand alpha?" You were using your light energy to heal him this whole time, but slowly, you were becoming drained. Most of your curse energy was used during your fight.
"I..will try...ngh..." Nanami let out a pained grunt as the rocks shifted into him, his barrier starting to crack and sprinkle upon you in dust of energy.
You sucked in a breath as you began to shout, "Help!" You shouted over and over again. Hoping your other alphas would hear you. Slowly, Nanami's eyes began to droop. "Stay with me Nanami! Keep talking to me!"
"Hm..." His head began to bob as more blood dripped on you.
"N-nanami!" You cried, cupping his face so you could hold him up. "Nanami please!" Now you had tears running down your cheeks.
His lips barely moved as he spoke, "Use...use your shadow form...you should be able to slip through the cracks..."
"N-no! No i'm not leaving you- we are getting out of here together!" You pat his cheek, his eyes trying to stay open. His mind was shutting down, but his body still fought to keep the rocks from crushing you.
"If...I use the last bit of my strength i can make... an opening for you..."
"Stop it! Stop saying that! HELP! HELP WE ARE DOWN-ack-" You began to cough, your throat becoming hoarse due to the lack of oxygen in the space. Your light flickered in and out, your curse energy dissipating.
You heard a noise from up above you, and then you used all your might and shouted, "DOWN HERE!"
"THEY ARE OVER HERE!" Gojo shouted as you heard more noises coming.
Hope filled you, "Nanami! Nanami they are coming! Hold on just a little longer!"
"I'm sorry...I'm sorry my love..."
"Nanami NO!"
You heard the shield finally shatter, and then your light went out. You could hear a crack, making you scream in horror for your alpha.
Yet you felt no pressure.
The next thing you knew, light appeared out of nowhere. It was gold and white. It came from Nanami's face. A symbol was on his forehead and a band circled around and disappeared in his hair. More light appeared as swirls of it danced all around Nanami's body. You watch in stunned silence as it spreads and grows from his body to yours and then around the small space you were in. Within the shield, you could see symbols orbiting around you. You were able to breathe again, but you also felt strength come back to you if you had just woken up fresh from a good sleep. Your curse energy was back and your body hadn't a hint of an ache.
It was healing your wounds and giving you energy.
What was this?
Once the barrier was fully protecting you, Nanami fell upon your chest, his eyes still closed, and the intricate designs on his body had faded away. The magical barrier stayed.
Using your energy, you put your hand to the rock, "Wither!" You cast your spell as the dirt began to turn into specs.
With the combination of your magic and your alphas on the other side, you were out in no time. Light bled into your hole, and then a hand was grabbing you.
"Oh my Tengen- Baby are you okay?"
You were yanked into a hug, Gojo holding you tight to his chest.
You looked upon the sky, the rain was gone, and now the night was calm with the twinkles of stars.
Sukuna leaned over the hole with his fire on his fingertips.
Yu and his people were also there to make sure you were alright. They must have come just in time to help finish the Ellexon.
Getou had his light spirits out that floated around like glow-in-the-dark jellyfish. "Hurry and get her out of there!"
They all helped you out of the hole, but then you were going to Nanami. Toji had laid him out on a blanket.
"Nanami..." You brush his hair out of his face, looking for that weird thing that appeared on his forehead. There wasn't anything on him now. Just dirt and dried-up blood. From how much soaked his clothes...he should have been dead. Whatever just happened here was a weird phenomenon.
That you had not seen in the game.
Yu spoke up, "Wow...I cannot believe you guys fought that thing... sorry I didn't get here sooner...How can I ever repay you?"
"Get your shit together. Then we are even."
The alpha was stunned, but then he settled into a deep bow, "I'm sorry for all the trouble I caused your pack... I will get my shit together, I promise."
You snorted at him, but then looked at your alphas. "The pups...are they alright?"
Gojo nodded, "Yes, Getou had put them to sleep. Figured that was easier to do than have them running around endangering themselves..."
"Good. There's no point in backtracking. Let's stay here and get some rest."
Your alphas nodded, setting up camp as Yu and his people returned home. As all of this happened, you had stayed by Nanami the entire time. Staring at him. You couldn't bring yourself to move away.
After your alphas tucked Mimiko and Nanako into their tents, they settled in camp around you.
You had hardly blinked at their movements.
"He's good..." Toji commented, putting two fingers to Nanami's neck to check his pulse. You knew he was alive, but Toji had decided to go the extra mile to prove it to you. "Your barrier protected and healed him."
It was not your barrier.
You finally took your gaze from your alpha, looking toward everyone else who was sitting around the fire. They looked a bit concerned about your behaviour.
"Did something happen?" Gojo questioned.
You fiddled a bit with your glove, your alphas have no idea what kind of situation the two of you were in. Yes, you were okay but Nanami had almost lost his life. It was a grueling moment that you were relieved ended well but the feeling still lingered in your heart.
You decided you didn’t want to voice your pain. There was no point in crying now.
"First...I want to say I'm very proud of you guys. That was a tough battle... and Getou, congratulations on your super move."
Your alpha tossed his hair back like he was Galinda, "Yes, I am pretty awesome~ But you also got a new move. That barrier withstood a lot of pressure."
Sukuna nodded, rather impressed. "Yeah, I can sense all your curse energy is back; that's a powerful spell you got there."
"Well...That barrier was not mine...it was Nanami's..."
Your alphas looked dumbfounded now.
"Woah woah woah" Gojo shook his head, "Nanami used that spell? Like Nanami Kento? That one right there?"
"Yup." You pop your lips.
Getou jumped in with his own question, "But...that was light energy if I was not mistaken."
"Nanami doesn't use light energy...does he?"
"Is that something he unlocks in the game?"
Gojo and Getou bounced off questions back to back. Sukuna had to cut them off.
"Let her speak dammit. Go on.” Sukuna nodded toward you.
"…So yeah, I've never seen it in the game... honestly, I have no idea how he did that..."
Toji squinted his gaze, "Is Nanami a man of Tengen?"
"Not with the way he drinks." Sukuna scoffed.
"Hey, just because he's an alcoholic doesn't mean he can’t be a man of the church!"
“Priests don’t drink alcohol, you idiot.”
"Maybe he fell away from the priests."
"I bet it was his drinking. Was it his drinking?” Gojo questioned you.
You shrug. "I don't know, like I said not much was said about Nanami’s past. But I don't even think Nanami realized he used that ability. He passed out when it was cast."
"Cool cool…so isn't this good? Nanami can use light magic that gives us more healing in the group!" Gojo pointed out.
"Yeah…I guess so."
“So what’s wrong? We beat an Ellexon, the pups are okay…Nanami is taking a nap...and he might be an undercover priest.”
You laugh at Gojo’s attempt to cheer you up, “Sorry guys, I guess I'm just tired.” You let out a fake yawn, “I’m going to get some sleep… you guys try to rest up as well okay?”
“Will do.”
You climb into your tent, curling into your nest. Your eyes were closed but all you could think about was your alpha.
Who the hell was Nanami Kento?
A renowned priest?
If so why did he feel the need to hide such information from his pack and the woman he loved?
Maybe he’s ashamed of his past…like Toji.
You couldn’t help but feel bad for the way he looked at Nanako after voicing that he was the reason for her running away.
If you had a nickle for every time your daddy alpha was ashamed of his past you’d have two nickels… which isn’t a lot but weird it’s happened twice.

Chef Note: You still there good ~ you made it through 🖤🥳. Now we have so many questions and an interesting journey ahead of us ^=^~ yay~!
✧・゚: ✧・゚:✧・゚: ✧・゚:✧・゚: ✧・゚:
Google definition of Aggro : In gaming, aggro (short for aggression) refers to the attention and targeting behavior of enemies (NPCs or other players). It essentially means an enemy is focused on attacking a specific player or object, often determined by factors like proximity, damage dealt, or healing provided. Managing aggro is a crucial aspect of gameplay, especially in multiplayer settings, where tanks often take on the role of drawing aggro to protect more vulnerable teammates.
AOE: Area of Effect (Defenition from Dicitonary.com): an attack or defense, such as a spell or special skill, that affects all characters within a specified range of the target place or character, rather than affecting only a targeted character.
Taunting roar: This is a spell/move/ability to get an enemy's or enemies' attention. It's like the equivalent of saying "OVER HERE" in a video game but like it actually works lol. Some games it automatically works but in some games it can fail. And it doesn't last for the whole time so they normally have to keep using the spell. If the aggro drops off the tank then the enemy normally will go after who is doing the most dmg or who is healing the.
That's why it's important for the tank to keep aggro. Usually, if it's not one of Getou's summons tanking, it's Sukuna and Toji who hold the aggro since they can take a hit or two and be fine. Getou and Reader are the squishy bunch of the group, so they all do their best to protect them. Gojo and Nanami are like off tanks. Off tanks can take damage, but they can't handle all of it. Squishies can't really handle any dmg. They can get hit like one or two times and then be dead lol. But Getou and readers resistance his higher than the others so like magic doesn't one shot them but physical dmg can. That is another reason why Getou and reader keep their distance and Nanami and Gojo are mid range and Toji and Sukuna are front.
Hope this kind of helped to understand the fighting aspects of the game. Let me know if you have any other questions :3~
